Greg Daniels’ Upload returned with a new season this year, and despite airing only a few episodes, the storyline seems to have already gotten more interesting. Nathan’s out of the digital world and is set on finding out about Freeyond and its evil plans.
Airing on Prime Video since May 2020, Upload is a mixture of Sci-Fi and comedy that centers on a futuristic point of time. It’s the year 2033, and humans are now able to upload themselves into any kind of virtual world after their death.
The first two seasons of Upload revealed that Nathan didn’t just end up in a horrible accident; it was a murder planned by someone who knew what Nathan was working on. Nora and Nathan now aim to find out about the murderer and prevent many other evil activities that seem to have the same origin.
With Nathan Brown being played by Robbie Amell, the rest of the cast of Upload includes Andy Allo playing Nora, Allegra Edwards as Ingrid, Zainab Johnson plays Aleesha, and William B. Davis portrays David Choak.
Upload Season 3 Episode 2: Recap
In Upload’s season 3 premiere, we see Nathan adjusting to his new life outside of the digital world. Ingrid decides to move on and makes changes in her life so that she won’t miss Nathan. As for Luke, having lost his best friend doesn’t sit right with him, and he tries to find new replacements for Nathan.
Nora and Nathan are in the real world and start dating. However, the threat of Nathan’s head bursting is what Nora is afraid of. Nathan’s digital backup doesn’t know that Nathan and Ingrid have broken up, so the copy showers Ingrid with affection.
While Ingrid had made up her mind to move on from Nathan, seeing his copy love her so much changed Ingrid’s mind. Nora and Nathan go out to grab a snack, and we see that they’re monitored by cameras at all times. Detective Sato spots Nathan and asks him for his contact information.
Nora and Nathan enter Freeyond by pretending to be housekeepers. Nathan logs into the system and obtains the address. When they are ready to leave the Freeyond office, they come across a secret meeting where David Choak and others are present.
Nathan later reaches the Server farm and finds only a single PC sitting in the room. When he logs into it, he comes across a video showing that Freeyond and all of the other digital realities are soon going to be the reason for the destruction of millions of lives.
The reason behind this was to eliminate any opposing voters. When Nora tries to stop the Freeyond staff from basically killing off innocent people, Detective Sato shows up and tries to kill them. Sato was on Choak’s side all along.
While Nora and Nathan are off to a farm to continue their task, Luke finds it harder to forget Nathan. As for Ingrid, she reveals her secrets to the new backup, who just forgives her and tells her not to lie again.

Upload Season 3 Episodes 3 & 4 will soon be uploaded on Prime Video by October 27, 2023. Unseen episodes of this Sci-Fi comedy are released on Fridays, with each episode having a run time of 32-33 minutes.

Nathan’s first day outside of the digital world seems to have gone well, but the frequent nosebleeds are warnings that suggest it might be harmful to him in the long run. Nathan values his mission over his health, so we’ll likely see him get on with the task until he has no choice but to go back or come up with a solution.
Ingrid has completely fallen for Nathan’s backup, but the future of this toxic relationship is still uncertain. Choak will soon come up with a plan to bring Nathan’s mission to an end.

Prime Video takes up the airing for Upload’s season 3, with new episodes coming out at 3:00 AM ET for American audiences. No other streaming platform hosts the episodes of Upload for now.

With Nora and Nathan now in a relationship, completing their mission might just become easier. However, the threat of Nathan losing his head is still all too real. Choak’s not going to let Nathan escape and will come up with a way to catch the coder in action.
