When it comes to making new friends, everyone in the K-pop industry might have a hard time beating BTS’ V. In fact, he seems to be friends with almost everyone in the entertainment industry, irrespective of the generation! And why not? With such a charming personality like his and the willingness to be friends with others no matter what is the time or place, Taehyung now owns a long star-studded list of friends. However, that doesn’t mean that this little social butterfly isn’t genuine with everyone! Despite having so many friends to be there by his side, he has a unique bond with each one of them in his life.
Here are the top eight celebs whom BTS’ V has befriended over the years. Let’s know about the stories behind their friendships and how close they are. For your note, we haven’t included any of BTS’ members since Taehyung doesn’t consider his bandmates as friends but as a part of his family. Do we even have to say anything more? Let’s get started!
8. BTOB’s Sungjae
They are living examples of being able to be friends with anyone and anywhere, even if their first interaction was in a bathroom! While they were on the set of Music Bank, waiting Backstage, Sungjae approached Taehyung asking him if he was a 95-liner and wanted to be friends with him. And that’s how their friendship started! We are already aware of how supportive BTS and BTOB are to one another, with the members showering their support on the release of new albums. In fact, Sungjae is so proud to be friends with Taehyung that he had once introduced himself as BTS’ friend on his Los Angeles visit for the filming of ‘The Butlers’.
7. Park Ji Hoon
Wanna One’s Park Jihoon has always been open about his unending admiration for Taehyung. From appreciating his skills to impersonating him on the variety shows, he is, in fact, a fanboy of V. In one of Jihoon’s interviews, he had stated that he has been close enough with BTS’ V and Jin to play online games with them, whenever their schedule allowed. When they met on MAMA 2018 in Japan, Jihoon was so glad to see him that he went up running on the stage to give V a big bear hug as he had a big smile on his face.
6. ZE:A’s Im Siwan
Siwan from the K-pop boy group ZE:A might be the latest celebrity whom BTS’ V has befriended. Siwan has recently been garnering a lot of popularity as an actor for his performance in the K-dramas like ‘Misaeng’ and ‘Run On’. In a recent Elle magazine interview, Siwan was asked if he has followed anyone on Instagram recently, to which his quick reply was ‘Taehyung-ie’. He said that he followed him after Taehyung told him he started using Instagram. Although it might seem that they are barely social media friends, their actions say otherwise. The fact that Siwan calls his name in such an endearing way and that Taehyung cares enough to text him after creating his account on Instagram proves that they are closer than what we think.
As for their first interaction, we can assume they met each other through Park Hyung Sik, who is one of the best friends of V and used to be a part of the band, ZE:A. With so many good friends in the filming industry, it won’t be surprising if he makes a comeback with a new Korean drama anytime now!

5. Ha Ji Won
The friendship between Taehyung and Ha Ji Won might seem unusual, especially when there’s an age gap of almost twenty years between them. But age doesn’t matter much, does it? The duo has been seen having brunch together many a time and loves taking pictures and appreciating art together. Once, she revealed that she had gifted Taehyung an art book which she has found during a foreign trip.
Ji Won is even a fan of his music and has shown her support to him by attending one of BTS’ concerts and giving us a few captures with him backstage. The ‘Secret Garden’ actress did receive some backlash from the netizens for this, but since the grounds are baseless, many of the ARMYs came in support of her.
4. Park Bo Gum
BTS’s V and the well-known idol-actor Park Bo Gum are probably the most adorable friendship duo in the K-pop industry, and it is what it is! From being co-hosts for the KBS’s Music Bank to being BFFs, their friendship is swoon-worthy. They went on a trip to Jeju island together, and after seeing the snaps shared by them, we can definitely assure you they shelled all sorts of best friends’ goals! One time, Park Bo Gum even showcased his support to V and the other BTS members when he cheered for them at one of BTS’ Hong Kong concerts.
Park Bo Gum, during the promotions of his Japanese single titled ‘Bloomin,’ revealed how much Taehyung liked the song and passed compliments on it. When a friendship is this lively, it’s not surprising that the fans find it so admirable.
3. SHINee’s Minho
Choi Minho from SHINee is one of the co-actors whom Taehyung had befriended during the filming of ‘Hwarang’, and now he is one of the many sunbaes that Taehyung loves to spend time with. They are famous for their eye-catching bromance with each other both on and off the screens. During the 31st Golden Disk Awards, Minho and V were sitting in the audience next to each other, and fans couldn’t help but notice their super adorable interactions.
At one point in time, they were holding each other’s hands, and Tae didn’t let go of it even though he needed to. Moreover, Minho even fixed V’s hair and congratulated him when BTS won the award for the ‘Global K-pop Artist’ by giving him a tight hug involving some butt slapping on Minho’s behalf! Minho indeed takes care of him like a grown-up hyung pampering his baby brother! Surely, he is one of the closest friends of BTS’ V.
2. Girls’ Generation’s Yoona
It’s not a secret that Taehyung has been a huge fanboy of Yoona from the K-pop girl group Girls’ Generation. In one of the interviews, he revealed that the very first album he purchased was of Girls’ Generation, and he seemed proud while answering the question. V and Yoona are two of the most humble and talented K-pop idols, and a friendship between them can be nothing but royal! They had first met each other on a flight for a brief time, and Taehyung was so scared to look messy in front of Girls’ Generation members that he didn’t sleep the entire time!
On the sets of MBC Gayo Daejejun in 2018, they reunited as Yoona was serving as one of the hosts of the music festival while BTS’ members were performing. They had a friendly interaction when V tapped on her shoulder and informed him that there were a few other idols as well born in the year of pigs. Yoona has even attended one of BTS’ concerts in Seoul in 2017. Now that’s called being successful— having your favorite idol attend your concert and cheer for you as a friend!
1. The Wooga Squad
They are literally squad goals! The 2016 historical K-drama, ‘Hwarang’ had an ensemble cast of Choi Woo-shik, Park Seo-Joon, Park Hyung-sik, and V even after all these years, they are as close as ever! V was just twenty when he starred in the series, and as the youngest one of them, he garnered all the love and pamperedness from his hyungs. The Wooga Squad consisting of Peakboy along with the above four, are close to him like his brothers, as we can see them supporting each other whenever they get a chance. The soothing OST, ‘Sweet Night’ from the 2020 K-drama’ Itaewon Class’ was supposed to be a part of V’s Mixtape. However, he released it as an OST in order to support Park Seo Joon, who has played the protagonist of the drama.
Taehyung has even sung a beautiful OST for the show, ‘Our Beloved Summer’ starring another Wooga Squad member, Choi Woo Shik, titled ‘Christmas Tree’. We can’t miss the time when they sent Taehyung a customized coffee truck during his Seoul fan meeting with a hilarious picture of him and a cute little message. Not to mention how lively and chaotic it is whenever we witness them together! Even the BTS members are jealous of the Wooga Squad being so close to their Taetae!
