The Top Chef franchise and its regional variants are always a fun show to watch, in this case, Telemundo brings us the Latin American version of the show, where a group of popular Mexican celebrities is in the race to see who can cook up the best plate to dazzle the demanding palates of three professional chefs who will evaluate with really tough and high standards everything related to the execution of the plate.
Now in its sophomore season, Telemundo’s Top Chef VIP presents us with a new group of popular celebrities from the Latin American orbit in a culinary quest that we’re eager to see. This is the kind of show you want to see with your stomach full because you will get hungry when you see the delicious dishes that will feast your eyes and delight those who will actually get to eat them, and, if you dare go into the kitchen, why don’t you try and recreate some of the many dishes that you’ll see this season.

The debut episode of this culinary show will present us with a new group of celebrity chefs who are willing and able to cook up some delicious dishes for judges Juan Manuel Barrientos, Adria Marina, and Antonio de Livier, with the lovely Carmen Villalobos serving as host, who’s coming back after a great first season for another run at Top Chef VIP. The debut episode is titled “El As Bajo La Manga”, which translates from Spanish as “The Ace Under The Sleeve”.
We could expect that the Judges will challenge our contestants with something very interesting as they begin making their first plates. Moreover, we don’t know yet for sure if the debut episode begins with elimination, but it’d be both fun and sad to watch because the celebrities are very enthusiastic about their participation in this sophomore season as they chase that $100.000 prize.
What To Expect From Top Chef VIP Judges On Season 2?
As for the judges, the most demanding one will be Chef Adria Marina, who has a no holds barred style when it comes to judging the dishes, trailing right behind her is the stern Chef Antonio, who won’t hesitate to express his disgust for Under, or overcooked fish and poultry.
Last, but not least Chef Juanma will be pushing each celebrity to the limit, while also being supportive when it comes to coaching them when they are concocting the scrumptious preparations we’ll see on the plate.

Moreover, the standards are going to be really high, because, in the interviews ahead of the show, one of the judges said that they got food poisoning during the debut season, and if you pair that with the food poisoning outbreak that came out on sister show Top Chef Spain, then these tasters really have to watch out!
