The movie follows the backstory of the current 2nd-year students, back when they were in their first year. Fans all over the world are raving about both the manga and the anime series. While the movie does not follow our main characters, it is still getting positive reviews. One of the major reasons for the success of the show is the main characters; Itadori Yuji, Megumi Fushiguro, Nobara Kugisaki, and Satoru Gojo. We are going to recollect our favorite moments of the deuteragonist, Megumi Fushiguro.
Megumi has captured the hearts of anime fans. He is a great strategist and reliable during battles. But fans love him for his personality mainly. He has a strong belief that good people deserve to be saved. This belief of his motivates most of his actions throughout the series. Added to all this, he is stoic and reliable. So even though he does not share much, most of his comrades depend on him. He also possesses a highly destructive curse technique. We have seen instances of this in both manga and anime. We are going to recollect some of our favorite moments of this character.
10. First Interaction with Todo
Megumi usually does not open up much about his personal life. So when Todo asked him to state his type, it gets a bit awkward. Todo also said that it’s fine even if he likes guys. In the anime, Megumi specifies the pronouns of his “type”. But in the manga, his answer is a bit different. He does not specify any gender there. He says, “I..don’t have a type or anything, as long that person has a moral compass that isn’t easily swayed..I don’t wish for anything else.” Hence many people consider him to be pansexual. And as we know, Todo is disappointed with this answer. The two start having a brawl. But for queer fans of this show, this is a very important moment. And fans can relate more with the character.
9. Megumi vs Kamo
Things go amiss during the 30th Annual Tokyo Sister-School Goodwill Event. The two schools are supposed to have a friendly competition. But Kyoto students had a different plan. They wanted to kill Yuji Itadori. Megumi’s divine dog helped in this speculation. Soon the two schools clash against each other. Megumi had to fight against Noritoshi Kamo. The two engage in a heated battle of strength and philosophy. Kamo keeps claiming that both of them are very similar. And Megumi keeps refuting this. Megumi keeps his stance on how he trusts his conscience. We get to see the character’s newly acquired Max Elephant shadow as well. He gets an upper hand during the battle by maintaining his calm demeanor.
8. First Interaction with Yuji
During the first episode in the anime, this is the first time we see both of the characters. And Yuji has not become a Jujutsu Sorcerer as of now. But Megumi is already a sorcerer at this point. So we get to see his Ten Shadows Technique for the first time. He initially believes that Yuji must be exorcised after eating Sukuna’s finger. But after he saw that Yuji can possibly control himself, he changes his perspective. And asks Gojo to protect to not kill Yuji. He specifies that this is for a personal reason. For the first time, we get to see how Megumi’s moral compass works here.

6. Megumi’s Delinquent Years
We don’t know much about Megumi’s past in the anime. This is mostly due to his reserved personality. While he usually appears to be very calm, he has a different past. During a mission, Yuji, Nobara and Megumi go to a normal high school. Some delinquents there recognize Megumi. He used to beat up every single gang member around his school. We see more layers of the character. Since he is always so calm and collected, this is a huge shock for all his peers.
5. Clash With Itadori Yuji
This happens during the cursed womb arc. The first years of Jujutsu High have to exorcise a spirit. But the foe was much more powerful than their expectations. They have to kill a special grade curse now. Here, Yuji believes that they should save as many people as possible. But Megumi did not want to save a person who might kill someone else in future. Since they were in a place full of criminals, he did not think they were worth saving. Soon the two characters have a clash in between different ideals. Yuji also asks Megumi why was his own life spared. Here we get to know more about Megumi’s way of treating people. He does not consider all to be equals. He believes in saving only “good people”.
4. Fight against Sukuna
After the brief clash between Megumi and Yuji, things take a menacing turn in this arc. This is one of the most memorable moments of the entire series. Megumi finally decides to risk his life to save other people as Yuji asked to. But during all this thinking, Yuji loses control over his body. Megumi is forced to fight with Sukuna. He firmly believes that after some time, Yuji will gain control again. But unfortunately, Sukuna is too strong for Megumi’s current level. He keeps pushing forward with his sheer willpower. 1. Chimera Shadow Garden
This is the scene that all manga fans were anticipating the most. The Chimera Shadow Garden is his domain expansion. This causes a great physical disadvantage to the user. And he himself considers this to be ugly and incomplete. But while looking at this scene, we see darker aspects of the character. The character is capable of causing great menace but usually doesn’t give it his all. He can summon infinite numbers of shadow curses here. This is a purely offensive technique.
As we have discussed, the character is very talented. For a Shikigami user, he is decent in hand-to-hand battle as well. At the same time, he knows when he should give it his all and when to give up.
