FBI: International is a top-rated FBI procedural that follows the lives and cases of FBI agents working in foreign countries. Each episode is an hour-long and packed with suspense, romance, and action. The show was developed by Dick Wolf —known for his work in Law & Order— and Derek Haas —who produced 2 Fast 2 Furious and other shows like Chicago Fire and Chicago Med. 10. Close To The Sun — Episode 10
We kick off our countdown with Episode 10. This Episode aired on January 11, 2022. It was directed by Rob Greenlea out of a script penned by Hussain Pirani. Firstly, two police officers, one female, and one male, were assassinated. A third suspect left the scene. He has been convicted of murdering a police officer! He just wanted to speak to FBI agent Jamie Kellet.
A call came in, and Kellett indicated that Liam Walsh was her confidential source and that they should take the case. Chief Burke, the city’s police chief, welcomed them to Belfast and introduced them to Inspector Sean Henry, the deceased cop’s partner, who was furious that they were trying to shield a cop killer from justice. Rather than a serial killer, Kellet insisted, Liam was a valuable source for the FBI and Scotland Yard.

9. One Kind Of Madman — Episode 9
This Episode aired for the first time on January 4, 2022. It was directed by Michael Katleman out of a script by Roxanne Paredes. The plot goes like this: Some terrorists from Albania stormed a theater in Sofia, Bulgaria, and kidnapped audience members and student performers from the United States, demanding cryptocurrency in return for their release.
The Bulgarian commissioner insisted on leaking poison gas into the theater via the ventilation system and by raiding it in a manner similar to that used by Russians during the 2002 hostage situation in Moscow’s theater. So, the FBI’s International team had a heated disagreement. At this point, everyone but one terrorist had been slain in the theater, and the hostages had been rescued, but Bulgarian police forces only had a few seconds to prepare for the gas.

8. The Edge — Episode 2
This chapter aired for the first time on September 28, 2021. Firstly, the script was penned by Derek Haas, and the Episode was directed by Michael Katleman. The story is this: When the kidnapping of Katya Milgrave’s young boy in broad daylight in Budapest is witnessed by the team when they are charged with executing a warrant against her. Katya reveals that she had a son with an American man named David Milgrave, whom she married.
What Happened With The Kid?
After she filed for divorce, claiming he assaulted her, the judge ruled that the charges were untrue and ordered divided custody. She moved to Hungary with him when she saw indicators that he was also abusing his son. When a child is taken, the team works to determine which of the parents poses the most risk.

7. Secrets As Weapons — Episode 3
This Episode aired for the first time in October 2021. It was directed by Deborah Kampmeir, and the script was penned by Matt Olmstead. The story is as follows: When the FBI: International team goes on after the trail of millions of dollars worth of bitcoin and Ethereum locked in cold storage on their way to Switzerland, things get in motion. The heist left a transporter dead, another one of the thieves is on the loose. And the cops are out to get him.

6. The Secrets She Knows — Episode 6
This Episode aired for the first time on November 9, 2021. It was directed by Anton Cropper out of a script written by Brooke Roberts. The story is as follows: With time running out to locate a missing United States intelligence officer. After that, the team scrambled to find her before any of the country’s nuclear secrets were leaked. Forrester, on the other hand, sees some parallels between his mother’s disappearance and this case.

5. Snakes — Episode 13
This Episode aired for the first time on March 8, 2022, it was directed by Loren Yaconelli, and the script was written by Matt Olmstead. The story is as follows: As the Fly Team and Jaeger search for a couple that fled Albania while awaiting imprisonment for stealing millions of dollars in COVID relief funds from the United States, they must battle with the wife’s dangerous crime family. Forrester and Kellett are also working on the case from Budapest, where Kellett is based. Regrettably, CBS didn’t release a promo trailer for this Episode.
4. American Optimism — Episode 4
This Episode aired for the first time on October 12, 2021. It was directed by Deborah Kampmeier, and the script was written by Matt Olmstead. The story goes like this: All while covered in blood from his dead Spanish boyfriend, an American citizen claims his innocence and seeks asylum at the U.S. consulate in Madrid. On another tone, Vo and Raines’ relationship is also getting stronger as we get more and more familiar with the characters in this series.

3. Chew Toy — Episode 11
This Episode was directed by Rob Greenlea, and the script was written by Hussain Pirani. Additionally, the chapter aired on February 1, 2022. Now, the story goes as follows: The investigation of an NYPD officer’s alleged involvement in an underground sexual trafficking operation in Transnistria is conducted by the Fly Team. On another note, a strange message is sent to Forrester by an anonymous person. For this Episode, CBS didn’t drop a trailer.
2. Pilot — Episode 1
Firstly, this Episode debuted on September 21, 2021, and it was directed by Michael Katleman out of a story developed by Dick Wolf and Derek Haas. Secondly, this is the pilot Episode, and it introduces us to all the main characters of the series. Now, the story goes as follows: Federal agents in New York City are on the lookout for an extremely dangerous fugitive with links to prostitution and gun trafficking groups. Later, after discovering that their fugitive has escaped to Europe, the New York City office enlists the services of the Budapest-based International Fly Team.

1. Trying To Grab Smoke — Episode 7
We have reached the top of our list! Firstly, the Episode was directed by Alex Zakrzewski out of a script written by Matt Olmstead. Secondly, this Episode aired for the first time on November 16, 2021. Thirdly, this Episode has a little crossover with the FBI, starring Julian McMahon, as we will see! Now, the story goes as follows: It was only after the FBI: International team had to deal with secret agents and a renegade nuclear expert that they realized the “victim” probably deserved to be killed.
Meanwhile, Kellett was preoccupied with personal matters that kept her from concentrating on her work. Later, a guy (played by James Payton) with a camera ordered a young woman to take her clothes off in a room that resembled a bedroom. Another woman (played by Whoopie Van Raam) threatened her with punishment if she didn’t comply with her order to strip.
Guns Blazing!
When the man answered the door and heard the sound of gunfire, the buzzer went off. Before fleeing, the women noticed that the man was bleeding from a painful spot. On the phone in Budapest, Julianne (Christina Rouner) begged Kellett to come home. Kellett revealed to her mother that she was seeing a coworker and her mother’s response was, “again?” Then something happened in her past. She said Kellett was on the run. “Maybe I was sprinting toward something,” Kellett said.
After joking with Vo about the coffee shop worker being interested in her, Raines discovered that they had been on two different dates. On the FBI’s Most Wanted list were Lloyd Eckersley and his partner, Fred Dobbins (played by Nick Basta). During a live video chat, Jess LaCroix (Julian McMahon) explained how Eckersley and Dobbins deceived a hundred women in Florida into partaking in pornographic recordings. Coercion and fraud charges piled up, so the two departed the country, releasing the identities of the ladies as retaliation.
