The World After The Fall Chapter 71 Recap

Chapter 72 of The World After the Fall starts with Sameng Garam being surprised that he, a monarch, lost. On the brink of death, It became apparent to him that Jaehwan needed to reach the peak of the Tree of Imagery, where the First Nightmare resides. But, Jaehwan denied it, as it was a place he despised, a place to be destroyed. Garam questioned him whether it would be alright, as his world may become unpopular in Depth, and that might be too cruel of a fate to accept.

Garam asks Jaehwan to sever the link before his body returns to the great lands. He warns Jaehwan to be careful of Myad as if he heard of his “creation, ” then he won’t be sitting still. Garam finally dies, and Chaos is finally liberated from the Palace of Reincarnation.

We see all the people of Gorgon celebrating the success of the raid, meanwhile we see Jaehwan visiting one of the ten swordmasters, Jagel, telling him about that he took down Sameng Garam and also obtained Narrow Door and that he shouldn’t be worried about the Sameng family as it would be challenging for them to enter Chaos, and if they were determined enough to give up their own life just to get him, then he would personally deal with them as they would be worthy opponents.

Jaehwan says his farewell to Jagel and leaves his place. Jaehwan thinks it’s been a long since he came to thr Gorgon fortress and somehow accidentally became its master. The chapter ends with some light-hearted comedic moments between Chunghuh and Cayman. This bring a smile upon Jaehwan’s face, but he knew that he had to leave soon, as he had become too attached to the fortress and its people.
