The third season of The White Lotus has reached its halfway point. The show continues to hold onto its mysterious atmosphere and psychological tension. Episode 4 begins to answer some important questions while keeping the suspense alive. The characters are now on the third day of their Thailand trip, and their experiences become even more complicated.
The episode opens with Jaclyn (Michelle Monaghan) lying in bed. She makes a phone call to her husband, who is still on set and unable to talk.
This moment suggests that Laurie (Carrie Coon) and Kate (Leslie Bibb) may be right about Jaclyn’s perfect relationship not being as real as it seems. However, Jaclyn refuses to show any weakness to her friends. Instead of letting sadness take over her day, she decides to enjoy herself and have fun.
Jaclyn’s Escape from Routine Takes a Wild Turn
Jaclyn takes the lead in deciding to leave the wellness resort for a more exciting experience. She convinces her friends that they need a break from their daily yoga routine. They ask Valentin (Arnas Fedaravicius) for recommendations, and he suggests a beach club. Excited about the change, they quickly arrive at the club and settle into lounge chairs with drinks in hand.
While at the club, Jaclyn talks to two women who mention that their husbands have passed away. Suddenly, she realizes that most of the people at the club are much older than them. Shocked and disappointed, she quickly leaves with her friends and heads back to the resort.
Jaclyn is now determined to find a more thrilling place to party. She convinces Valentin to come along and drags him into a cab with her friends. The new club he takes them to has not opened yet, so he leaves them on a busy market street while he gathers his friends.
During this time, the women walk into the middle of the Songkran Festival, a celebration of the Thai New Year known for its water fights. As they stroll through the streets, a group of children targets them with water guns. Completely drenched, they run into a convenience store to take cover. However, the children stand outside, waiting to continue their playful attack.
Later, Jaclyn, Laurie, and Kate finally dry off and reach a different beach club. Here, they meet Valentin’s friends. After their strange adventures, they find a place where they can feel youthful and attractive again. Laurie, who is the only single woman among them, takes in the new atmosphere. As they settle in, they raise their glasses in a celebratory toast, marking the beginning of an exciting night.
Rick’s Journey Brings Dark Truths to Light
Meanwhile, Rick (Walton Goggins) has been eagerly waiting for this day because he is finally heading to Bangkok. However, Chelsea (Aimee Lou Wood) convinces him to delay his plans and join her for a yacht party hosted by Chloe (Charlotte Le Bon) and Gary (Jon Gries).

As they walk to the docks, Chelsea gets distracted when she sees the store attendant she met during a robbery. She decides to check on her, leaving Rick alone for a short time. During this moment, Rick meets Amrita (Shalini Peiris), who insists on having another meditation session with him.
She tells him she was moved by his story. When he mentions that he is leaving for Bangkok that night, Amrita gives him words of encouragement, assuring him that she believes he can free himself from his past.
Rick joins the yacht party but remains in a bad mood. This time, Chelsea loses patience and demands to know what is wrong. She forces Rick to finally share his secret.
Rick reveals that when his mother was on her deathbed, she told him who murdered his father. The person responsible was none other than the husband of Sritala (Patravadi Mejudhon), the resort owner. After hearing that the man had suffered a stroke, Rick decided to come to Thailand to find him.
He claims he only wants to confront the man and make him acknowledge the damage he caused. However, Chelsea believes Rick has revenge on his mind.
Rick refuses to let Chelsea accompany him to Bangkok. At the end of the episode, they go their separate ways. Chelsea stays on the yacht for the full moon party, while Rick, full of frustration, lashes out at tourists at the local airport.
Piper’s True Intentions Come to the Surface
The episode also shifts focus to the Ratliff family. Their day begins with a typical sibling argument that quickly takes an awkward turn. Tim (Jason Isaacs) appears overwhelmed with stress, and his frequent pill use does not go unnoticed. Victoria (Parker Posey) accuses her children of taking her Lorazepam, but the argument fades as they prepare for the yacht party.
On the yacht, Victoria carefully hides her bag, unaware that she needs to protect it from her husband. Tim later sneaks back and takes an entire bottle of pills. Mixing them with alcohol, he starts behaving differently. His usual Southern charm fades, and he becomes emotionally unstable. Piper (Sarah Catherine Hook) thanks him for the trip, but he struggles to respond.
Victoria remains as sharp as ever, making sarcastic comments and hiding her true thoughts behind her sunglasses. She sees everyone around her as dishonest, greedy, or even dangerous.
Meanwhile, Lochlan (Sam Nivola) finds himself caught between his two siblings. Saxon (Patrick Schwarzenegger) believes Piper will ruin Lochlan’s social status, while Piper worries that Lochlan will turn into a shallow version of Saxon.
Later, Piper makes an important confession to Lochlan. She tells him that she did not come to Thailand for a thesis interview with a monk. Instead, she planned to spend a full year at a meditation center. Before Lochlan can react, Saxon pulls him away to distract him with party activities.
As the yacht party continues, Lochlan decides to stay with Saxon for the full moon party. This leaves Piper alone to face dinner with their parents.
A Gun Goes Missing, Adding to the Mystery
Belinda (Natasha Rothwell) struggles to get Greg (Jon Gries) off her mind. After recognizing him in Episode 3, she becomes curious and searches for information online. She finds out that Tanya (Jennifer Coolidge) died under mysterious circumstances and that Greg is wanted for questioning in Sicily. However, he has not responded to the authorities.
On the yacht, Greg seems distant from the party. When Chloe asks for permission to use the boat for late-night festivities, he agrees but insists that he must go home to take care of something.
During dinner, Greg and Tim share a conversation about people moving to Thailand. Greg suggests that some are searching for something, while others are trying to escape their past.
At the same time, Gaitok (Tayme Thapthimthong) meets with Fabian (Christian Friedel) to discuss security at the hotel. Fabian expresses concerns and insists that security should be increased. A gun is introduced as part of the conversation.
Later, Gaitok goes to check on the gun, but Mook (Lalisa Manobel) unexpectedly arrives, and they leave the area together. The gun remains unattended in the security hut.
Meanwhile, Tim receives distressing news. The FBI has raided his offices, and he realizes that he could be facing prison time. Overwhelmed, he declares that he would rather die than go to jail. He then returns his phone to a staff member before heading to dinner.
When Gaitok returns to the security hut, he finds that the gun is missing. The episode ends with yet another unanswered question—was the disappearance a coincidence, or does someone have a dangerous plan?
