The Plot of The Way You Shine
Zhou Xin Xing and Xia Tian Yu’s story lies at the heart of the story, The Way You Shine. Xin Xing has struggled with several problems throughout her life. She was even forced to give up on her longing to establish a French-style patisserie and spend the rest of her days with her husband in bliss.
From her first marriage to her career as a dermatologist, nothing, however, worked out. Words are the only thing left in Xin Xing’s dreams. After a member of her family passed away and financial difficulties increased, her dream of running a bakery was dashed. That prompted her to accept a position at the pastry shop Les Années Lentes.
In the store, she meets Tian Yu. He belongs to a wealthy family and is the successor of the Yucheng enterprise group in the third generation. He never wanted to become the company’s CEO, but his family wished him to.
Despite his family’s wishes, he had never intended to take over as CEO of the business. People see him as mean and heartless, but deep down, he is generous and hides his true self because childhood incident which traumatizes him to the core.
Tian Yu has no option but to take the job at Les Années Lentes as well. He realizes that he has feelings for Xin Xing. They decide to participate in a reputable contest of contest-making. But soon, their enthusiasts start to approach them.
Let’s Catch Up With Episode 18 of The Way You Shine
The 18th episode started with a meeting by giving recent updates regarding the corporation with Shanglian. During the meeting, Zhao Xun discovered that Tian Yu took care of work related to the company on his own, which upset him. He made Tian understand the way the company worked in a process.
Tian began to work harder and stayed late at night in the company. Later that night, he and his colleagues met up for dinner. He told Ruo Yun that he would still see her as a best friend if she didn’t mind. Xin Xing also came and greeted everyone.
In collaboration with Shanglian Supermarket, an exhibition store was held the following day. Everyone was happy with how Tian Yu had worked hard for it. Xin Xing was also pleased to see their products in the market.
She met An Ni there and informed her she was with his brother now. An Ni apologized for her behavior and told her that her mother or the Chairman was hard to deal with and that she needed to be prepared. Yun Qi asked someone to investigate Xin Xing.
Later at dinner, Tian Yu’s grandfather suggested he could think of becoming General Manager after achieving the collaboration. And he willingly accepted to take the position of it. Everyone in the company started gossiping about it.
It was the first day of Tian Yu as the General Manager of the company. He did his part in the meeting, but he could sense that the managers and other people felt grievance toward him becoming the Manager.
On the other hand, Xin Xing received a delivery for a dessert, and she went to do it. But it was ordered by Wei Ting. He kept bothering her. It made Xing furious, and she told him to stay away from her. His mother happened to be there and heard their conversation. She told him to get over her quickly. But it was not easy for Ting.
Later when Xing was heading home, Ting’s mother appeared out of nowhere and hit her. She tried to hit her again when Zhao Xun arrived on time and protected her. They went upstairs. Zhao couldn’t help and confessed his feelings for her. But she replied by saying she only had gratitude for him.
On the other hand, Tian Yu’s mother, Yun Qi, or the Chairman, found out about Xin Xing’s first marriage with Wei Ting.
