Season 2 of the BBC’s dark reality series The Traitors returns with even more deceitful drama! Throughout 12 episodes, The Traitors kept us glued to our screens as we watched the competitors in this suspenseful BBC reality series attempt to identify the traitors among them to win a portion of a sizable cash prize (worth up to £120,000) while staying at a gorgeous castle in the Scottish Highlands.
When the show first premiered, it was an enormous hit; more than 4 million people watched the last episode alone. Additionally, the show generated a lot of interest on social media, and we’ve even seen an Australian spin-off and an American version hosted by Alan Cumming (The Traitors US season 2 returns this month).
Recap
Dan was prompted to go and get one of the shields of protection during the most recent task after discovering that the other players thought he was too silent. He thought that asking for protection would act as a “double bluff” to convince others that he was a faithful person.
However, little did they realize that he was getting ready to join Phaedra and Parvati in killing a second victim each night. Let’s get started with the episode, which should begin with their homicidal decision!
Dan revealed in a confessional that they chose to include Parvati because they thought they would collaborate with her in the long run, but that in the event of a crisis, she would be “an easy person to shove to the front of the line” as a traitor to save Dan and Phaedra.
Parvati believed Deontay would be a smart choice for their second kill since he might eventually win shields. Marcus’s potential to catch them soon and Larsa’s additional “built-in protection” worried Dan. Because Janelle is “well-connected,” Phaedra believed she was a good fit.
Dan and Parvati also concurred that Janelle Larsa, Maks, and Phaedra were the first survivors to arrive at the breakfast hall the following morning. Maks had assumed Trishelle would be next to be killed, but Tamra and she arrived first.
Dan and Peter entered next, and Peter was eager to explain his thesis that good traitors would kill people for arbitrary reasons, making it impossible for anyone to “follow the trail.” Sandra & John were next to have breakfast, followed by two groups of contestants: Shereé, MJ, and CT, and Bergie, Kevin, and Ekin-su.
Only Parvati, Janelle, Marcus, and Deontay managed to survive and return. Larsa realized that her partner had been picked for the kill when Parvati, Janelle, and Deontay entered. “people listen to her,” which might provide issues.
Preview
The third episode features a gripping graveyard mission, Marcus Jordan being removed by the traitors (Dan Gheesling, Parvati Shallow, and Phaedra Parks), and a stunning twist in which the group kills Maks.
The surprises didn’t end there. In the closing seconds of Episode 3, it was revealed that a new task involving murdering a fellow cast member in broad daylight would be the primary focus of Episode 4.
The poisoned chalice used in the murder challenge is hidden within a Shakespeare book in the castle library. Tensions are anticipated to increase as the three traitors face more challenges in concealing their actual loyalty following the removal of Marcus and Maks. But the murder challenge might make or break the traitors’ all-out attempt to win.
