The Las Vegas motto is: “What happens in Las Vegas stays in Las Vegas”, in the case of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, these women are not honoring that motto because after that bender had —mechanical bull ride and tequila shots included— the egos, Shakespearian-level jealousy, and emotionality of this middle-aged — way past their prime— women came out like a flower blossoming in mid-spring.
In any case, the episode was ridden with tear-jerking confessionals about how some of the cast members feel lonely, insecure, and unhappy about their current status.
As we’ll see in our spoiler-heavy recap —which I wrote on purpose for context, not for ruining the fun— there were a few things to unpack as the Las Vegas bender had some fallout, and I’m not talking about taking a few electrolytes and vitamins to save that shriveled-up liver from all that drinking.
Recap
We kick off with Sutton talking about Kyle’s mid-life crisis during a dinner. We see how they talk about what’s going on in their lives. To have all that money and not being able to connect with your partner or be happy must be a real b*tch. We see a tear-ridden confessional in which we learn the level of unhappiness and dissatisfaction.
Can’t these women afford some counseling? Or is it something that Bravo’s deal forbids them in order to make the episodes more drama-ridden and palatable? Makes me wonder.
Then, since the women are in Las Vegas, and what happens in Las Vegas, stays there, they go to a country bar in the appropriate attire, meaning Swarovski decorated Stetson cowboy hats, posh boots, and skin-tight jeans. There are pitchers of beer, tequila shots, and the usual conversation about money, egos, and marital unhappiness.
After that, since it’s a country bar, there has to be a mechanical bull, and why the hell not? Let’s take that f*cker for a spin. Sutton points out that if one of these women dares ride that bull, there’s the possibility —which made me laugh really, really hard— that their fake t*ts might fly out.
The first one to ride the bull is Kyle, who went at it for almost thirty seconds, then, Sutton approaches the mechanical bull operator, and tells her to go easy on her, and she rides it for a meager 10 seconds.
After the bull ride, the bender, and the works, Sutton and Kyle have one of their discussions. They call it a chat, but we all know it’s a fight. Kyle goes to Sutton’s place; they talk about the Vegas bender. Sutton is not happy about Kyle siding with Erika. Oh, the jealousy here is almost to a Shakespearian level.
