The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live’s Sunday episode showed Rick and Michonne plotting, and even carrying out, a plan to abandon the CRM. However, nothing was what it seemed. It also didn’t go according to plan.
Beginning with a flashback to a time so long ago that Jadis was still sporting her standard Anne hairstyle, “Bye” swiftly eliminated the word “friend” from the description and brought back the rivals. Despite the fact that she had saved his life, he was not appreciative.
He protested, “You brought me somewhere I can’t leave.” That “somewhere” wasn’t so horrible, in her opinion. She was signing up, impressed by the 500-year plan of the CRM. And Rick? Not a possibility. Jadis’s fine. “Survive your happiness,” she joked.

The story then cut to just a few hours ago, when Rick recruited Pearl to make sure Michonne, er, Dana, stayed put. The problem was, Jadis wanted them to be there forever. She said, “I would have to go and kill all of you,” if she let them return to Alexandria or if they managed to get away.
Oh, and her coworkers would discover a note containing detailed information about the couple and their folks among her belongings, in case Rick had any bright ideas about killing the CRM officer. Oh no! Beale told Rick and Pearl after Okafor’s funeral that he thought of them as both the poison and the remedy.
Specifically, he had doubts over Rick. However, Pearl… he elevated her to the rank of Command Sergeant Major, provided the top-secret Echelon Briefing, and assigned her the responsibility of preparing Cascadia Forward Operating Base for launch day.
Not that she didn’t still feel a special place in her heart for Rick, whom she regarded as family. She alerted him to the fact that Beale had become aware of “Dana,” a woman whose abilities were hard to ignore. Following that conversation, Rick quickly constructed a complex scheme to flee with Michonne.
She didn’t know this until she discovered his message in the escape canoe, but he had no plans to accompany her. Rick was shocked to learn that Michonne hadn’t left at all the following day. He scowled at her, saying, “You need someone on the inside to get away.”
“That’s me for you,” Before she met the artist Rick had been pleading with to draw her, Judith and Carl, she was devastated and believed Rick had taken the Kool-Aid. Pearl, who was both intrigued and wary by “Dana,” gave her the opportunity to work at Cascadia and gain a comprehensive understanding of the situation.
Michonne agreed, and it was a wise decision on her part as well. If she didn’t, Thorne was prepared to murder her, and Rick was prepared to kill Thorne. When “Dana” at Cascadia violated the rules, Rick stepped in to assist in removing hundreds of walkers.
Now that Pearl knew “Dana” posed a threat, if Rick hadn’t stopped her shot, Pearl may have eliminated her. Pearl later apologized to Rick for going above and beyond for him and “Dana.” However, Beale was impressed by his stunt and wanted to brief him.
Jadis appeared at the end of the hour, having been moved to Cascadia. Michonne became agitated when she saw her chatting with Rick. But he had bigger fish to fry. Despite their lustful gazes and snatched lips, he declared that “everything we had is broken.” It’s finished.
