The Law Cafe has been adapted from the web novel “Love According to Law” by No Seung Ah with Ri’s illustrations. This series has been a hit for cafe drama lovers because of its gripping storyline and the chemistry between the main leads. An accident meet-up between two childhood friends brings them together. The contrasting characters of Jeong Ho, or “Monster Genius,” and Yu Ri know each other from their high school Seoyeon High. The graceful and talented lawyer Yu Ri and the clumsy Jeong Ho meet again after years and grow closer.

The Law Cafe Preview
Lee Seung Gi’s character Kim Jeong Ho is renowned as “Monster Genius” because of being a former prosecutor. Despite his serious profession, he is a clumsy person, which contrasts well with Yu Ri’s personality. Yu Ri is not only a genius lawyer, but she is also known for her beauty. Before becoming a lawyer, she won the Miss Korea contest. Yu Ri is also very vocal and stands up to every injustice. This is the reason she had to leave her law firm and decided to build her law cafe.
This was when she met Jeong Ho when she went to see her landlord. Consequently, the landlord happens to be Jeong Ho. From here, their relationship with each other starts to develop. In the last episode, one of the most important issues was dealt with. Fans have applauded how the show creators have shown the importance of consent. The last episode showed that trying to kiss someone without consent is not okay and will never be. The new case of the episode was was about a physical assault of a woman. Yu Ri’s active involvement to the case as a woman, and also trying to encourage her about addressing the issue is commendable. It is also important to note that the series talked about the importance of consent regardless of gender which is one step forward.
Meanwhile, Yu Ri and Jung Ho has a little misunderstanding that got resolved soon. Fans are also loving the friendship between Yu Ri and the doctor. With romance brewing everywhere, watching pure platonic relationships is often a breath of fresh air.

The sixth episode of The Law Cafe is set to release on 20th September 2022, Tuesday. The series was set to premiere on 29th August 2022 but was rescheduled. Instead, it premiered on 5th September 2022 and is still running on KBS2. The series can be watched from the mentioned channel at 9:50 pm Korean Time (KST).
