The new findings and theories coming out of Aladdin’s Cave have reignited hopes for the Lagina brothers and the other personnel involved in the years-long search. With new technologies and equipment from Ideon, finding the treasure might not be so hard after all.
History Channel’s show The Curse of Oak Island centers around Rick & Marty Lagina and other treasure hunters who are doing their best to find a legendary treasure that’s believed to be sitting under this Nova Scotia Oak Island.
This Island mystery has been going on for hundreds of years, and almost 7 people have died in the process of locating the treasure. As the legend of this cursed Island goes, another person would have to die for the treasure to reveal itself.
After 11 whole seasons, the Lagina brothers have discovered quite a few notable items that make the legend much more believable. Most recently, the team has been using Muon topography data to find out secrets about the Island and its various mysterious cavities.
Recap
Rick and Marty Lagina go ahead with their plan, which involves digging further into the Garden Shaft. They’ve decided to use a new path to approach the tunnels under the shaft. Later, at the War Room, the teams show up to talk about a discovery coming from Ideon Technologies.
They had placed powerful equipment beneath the shaft two years ago, and now they were finally able to collect sufficient data that suggests something worthwhile could be sitting under the very land that they’ve been digging all this time.
The data shows that the land near Oak Island is filled with cavities. The lower-density points on the chart are tunnels or empty spaces, but the high-density ones could indicate the presence of treasure.
In older episodes, the Lagina brothers had called one of the caves near this place the “Aladdin’s Cave” since the water that came out of it was rich in traces of precious elements like gold. Despite the finding, the Lagina brothers couldn’t do anything about it because they didn’t find any opening towards the cave.
Once the Muon topography data had arrived, they were able to spot exits and entrances towards the Aladdin’s Cave. Rick and Marty immediately decide to focus on this area and start the digging process. Meanwhile, Jack and Peter work with a renowned archeologist to find out more about the manmade structure.
Spoilers
Now that Rick and Marty have discovered more about an old space beneath the ground called Aladdin’s Cave, they will make sure that the area is thoroughly scanned for any cavities or hidden treasures.
The water that was extracted from the cave earlier contained high traces of gold and other elements, making the belief that there could be treasure hidden there much stronger. The Muon data also located openings and exits from the cave, which will be further explored in the next episode.
