The Curse of Oak Island, a reality TV and exploration program, developed a large following over ten years by employing heavy machinery to uncover whatever is hidden on the frigid, damp, and marshy island. The tenth season of The Curse of Oak Island left us wondering whether the Langina brothers and their team would return for another season, with a variety of objects uncovered across ten seasons.
Rick and Marty Lagina are two brothers who are skilled treasure hunters and explorers who are passionate about discovering enigmatic legends and hidden riches. They are the main characters in The Curse of Oak Island.
They employ the newest equipment to dig up treasures from beneath the surface of the island’s soil, combining their passion for engineering and history. Along with Rick and Marty, the show tracks a variety of experts as they collaborate to investigate Oak Island.
Recap
We saw in season ten how the Laginas were able to locate the wealth and how, despite being buried for hundreds of years in that chilly, marshy island location, the items they discovered had French and Italian ancestry.
With the assistance of invited archaeologists, paleontologists, and specialists, they examined human remains, coins, metal objects, and artifacts that they discovered as they continued toward Oak Island’s westernmost region.
In season ten, Jack and Gary discovered a tunnel entrance with a stone building that has a striking resemblance to the structures built by the Italians in their former homeland.
The team discovered some relics in Smith’s Cove that appeared to be a transit conveyor system and polley. Other significant relics were discovered in many well-known areas of the island, including Lot 5, Nolan’s Cross, and the Money Pit, which turned out to be a subterranean shaft in the deep end.
When the team finds what might be the last piece of the puzzle, their chances of discovering the elusive treasure are heightened. The fellowship is shocked to learn that evidence supports Zena Halpern’s Templar map and Fred Nolan’s claim that a dam is buried at the end of the swamp.
The scientists have now pinpointed the location of the gold, while the archaeologists are hard at work unearthing a new feature found on Lot 5. As the crew continues to unearth evidence pointing to the deliberate concealment of the enigmatic man-made stone foundation on Lot 5, the Fellowship focuses on the riches in the Money Pit.
Excitement is in the air when more evidence of a tunnel that leads straight to the garden shaft is found, adding to the team’s puzzle as to why an ancient well was built on Lot 26. While the Fellowship gets ready to send a team member below for the first time in the Money Pit, a new theory surfaces that points to Nolan’s Cross as the key to its precise location.
When fresh scientific data pinpoints the precise site of the gold signature in the Money Pit, the team is elated; Rick fulfills a lifetime ambition by subterranean exploration on Oak Island.
When indisputable scientific data indicates that the Fellowship is getting closer than ever to the gold, confidence soars. When the probe drilling operation in the garden shaft eventually commences, the Fellowship is positive that they are closer than ever to an offset chamber.
