With The Blood of Dawnwalker nearing its September release, Rebel Wolves and Bandai Namco Entertainment have released a new trailer highlighting the major systems players will use throughout the dark fantasy action RPG. Set in the dangerous region of Vale Sangora, the game follows Coen, a young man who exists as a human during the day and gains vampiric abilities at night.
The trailer focuses heavily on the game’s unusual approach to time management. Coen has 30 days and 30 nights to save his family, meaning players cannot complete every quest before the story reaches its deadline. Time does not advance simply because players explore, but certain quests and actions consume portions of the available timeline.
Xbox Wire quoted Senior Quest Designer Patryk Fijalkowski saying, “We want players to feel tension” and actively think about time “like a resource.”
The trailer also introduces the Vrakhiri, the powerful vampires ruling Vale Sangora, while showcasing Coen’s combat abilities. Players can approach battles using human skills or supernatural vampiric powers, creating different ways to deal with enemies and pursue objectives.

Combat is only one part of the game’s broader narrative sandbox. Rebel Wolves says player actions and inaction can influence the world, while choices about allies, quests and preparation can shape Coen’s journey.
The Blood of Dawnwalker launches on September 3, 2026, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
