Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced that Bob has officially joined the TEKKEN 8 roster as the latest Season 3 DLC fighter. The character is now available in early access for players who own the Season 3 Pass, while all players will be able to purchase him individually starting August 24, 2026.
Known as the “Onigiri Savior,” Bob brings his distinctive combination of speed, weight, and power back to the fighting game series. The fan-favorite fighter was first introduced in TEKKEN 6 and became known for his unexpected speed and Freestyle Karate fighting style, which allow him to use his large frame while maintaining impressive mobility.
Bob’s arrival adds another major character to TEKKEN 8 as Bandai Namco continues to expand the game’s roster through its Season 3 content. His return also comes with a new story that reveals what happened to him following his earlier encounter with Bryan and explains how his latest quest ultimately brings him into conflict with Kazuya Mishima.
Bob Returns to TEKKEN 8 With a New Story and Season 3 Pass Role
In TEKKEN 8, modern-day Bob is recovering in a hospital after receiving a beating from Bryan while traveling to the King of Iron Fist Tournament 7. Frustrated by the hospital’s bland food, Bob becomes inspired to create his own burger recipe while recovering in his hospital bed.
After leaving the hospital, Bob turns the idea into a successful business and establishes a popular burger chain. His success eventually leads to the creation of “Bob’s Onigiri,” bringing the fighter even greater wealth and recognition.
However, Bob’s growing business empire does not keep him away from the larger conflict surrounding the Mishima family. He eventually crosses paths with Kazuya Mishima during Kazuya’s attempt to take over the world, inspiring Bob to pursue what he sees as a greater cause and bring “the hammer of justice” down on his new enemy.

Bob is the latest character included in the TEKKEN 8 Season 3 Pass, joining the previously released Kunimitsu. The pass will also add Roger Jr. and Baki character Yujiro Hanma as upcoming DLC fighters, further expanding the roster with both returning franchise characters and a major crossover addition.
TEKKEN 8 continues the long-running story of the Mishima bloodline and the conflict surrounding Kazuya’s reign of terror. The game has expanded its playable lineup with characters from the series who were previously unavailable as fighters, giving players new options while continuing the central father-and-son rivalry.
Developed by Bandai Namco Studios, TEKKEN 8 is currently available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Bob’s early access launch gives Season 3 Pass owners the first opportunity to take the “Onigiri Savior” into battle before his wider release on August 24, 2026.
