As this is going on, we meet Jimmy Pickles, an elderly man with a humorous stage name who is trying to develop a pepper that is far hotter than the Carolina Reaper. And he is undoubtedly committed; every room in his home is used in some way to cultivate peppers.
The second episode takes us into the realm of competitive pepper-eating competitions, where those who win and competitors push themselves to the limit for numerous reasons, such as earning high clout, and where a large number of the community’s members were once substance addicts.

Superhot: The Spicy World of Pepper People Episode 1 will be released on 22 January 2024 on Hulu. This Episode is titled “The Others”. At the time of writing, 10 episodes are scheduled for this second season of Superhot: The Spicy World of Pepper People, but we think there will be only 10 episodes. Hulu is going to release each of the 10 episodes at once. Whether this series will air internationally on Disney+ as a Star Original has not yet been announced.
The Synopsis for Episode 1: “Johnny Scoville, the creator of spicy sauce, sets out to find the hottest pepper on the planet. Dr. Frankenstein, the superhot, conjures up new monsters to break world records.”
