Rick Hoffman is set to reprise his role as Louis Litt in Suits LA. According to Deadline, he will appear in an episode later in Season 1 of the NBC spinoff. If the show gets renewed for a second season, there is a strong chance he will return for more episodes.
Hoffman is the second actor from the original Suits to make an appearance in the new series, following Gabriel Macht’s return as Harvey Specter. However, the two characters will not meet on screen.
Louis Litt was one of the most memorable characters in the original Suits series. He had a strong personality and often felt insecure about his place in the law firm. His complex relationship with Harvey Specter and the rest of the team made him both loved and disliked by fans.
Despite his flaws, Litt was entertaining, providing humor and drama in equal measure. His famous catchphrase, “You Just Got Litt Up,” became an iconic part of the show.
At one point, there was even talk of giving him his own spinoff, similar to Pearson. Instead, he will now bring his legal skills and unique personality to the world of Suits LA. The details of his role in the upcoming episode remain unknown.
The original Suits creator Aaron Korsh is leading Suits LA as both writer and executive producer. The new series moves away from the world of Specter, Litt, and Mike Ross (played by Patrick J. Adams) and focuses on Ted Black, played by Stephen Amell. Black is a former federal prosecutor from New York who has moved to Los Angeles.
He now represents wealthy and influential clients while trying to keep his struggling law firm afloat. He and his team of entertainment lawyers must secure contracts and win cases to stay in business. However, working with high-profile showbiz clients makes their job even more complicated.
The cast of Suits LA includes Lex Scott Davis, Josh McDermitt, Bryan Greenberg, Troy Winbush, Rachelle Goulding, Azita Ghanizada, Maggie Grace, and Alice Lee. Their characters bring new stories to the series while maintaining the legal drama that made Suits popular.

Will More Familiar Faces Join Suits LA?
The return of Litt and Specter may be just the beginning of more guest appearances from the original Suits cast. Korsh has expressed interest in bringing back more actors from the original series.
He has specifically mentioned Meghan Markle’s character, Rachel Zane, as someone he would love to see in Suits LA. However, he also wants to ensure that the focus remains on the new cast.
In a recent interview with TV Line, Korsh shared his thoughts on balancing old and new characters. “I know that’s what fans want, but I feel like if it’s just a parade of old Suits characters, it would sort of harm the new franchise, and I don’t think it would do a lot of favors to the old franchise either.” He also hinted that at least one more veteran character from the original series will make an appearance soon.
New episodes of Suits LA air every Sunday at 9 p.m. on NBC. This week’s episode, titled “He Knew,” will feature guest stars Brian Baumgartner and Patton Oswalt. Stay tuned for more updates as the series continues.
