Stray Kids is a boy band which is primarily based in South Korea and was formed by JYP Entertainment. The band was formed in the year 2017 through a reality show.
The current members of the band are Hyunjin, Bang Chan, Changbin, Seungmin, Lee Know, Felix, I.N., and Han. Another member Woojin left the band in the October of year 2019 due to reasons which were undisclosed. The boy band performs in the genres like kpop, electronica and hip hop.
Stray Kids the boy band has done four albums till now out of which three are Korean albums and one is a Japanese album. Stray Kids made the pre-debut in the January of 2018 by an extended play mix tape with the names like ‘I Am Not’ which was followed by another two series of EPs with the name ‘I Am Who’ and ‘I Am You’.

The Journey of Stray Kids to Making Chart-Topping Hits
Stray kids’ first album was launched in the year 2020 with the name ‘Go Live’. The album was a commercial success album received a Platinum certification by the Korea Music Content Association (KMCA).
In the same here of 2020 Stray Kids also released another album which was the Japanese debut with the name ‘SKZ2020’ and was recorded by Epic records Japan. Stray Kids launched their second album in the year 2021 which was named ‘Noeasy’ and that one also was a hit selling one million albums.
Stray Kids launched the third album in the year 2023 with the name five star which was marked as the debut to US Billboard 200 spotting the rank in the first three, three and also made a spot in the UK Albums Chart.
Till 2020 Stray Kids has successfully sold over 10 million copies from their two language released albums in Japan and Korea.
A Great Triumph to the Stray Kids
On the night of September 13, Stray Kids won the Best K-pop Award in MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) stage sending shockwaves through the digital cosmos. The group then performed the same single that won them this huge victory at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.
During the acceptance speech, Bang Chan expressed their gratitude, saying, “We’ve been making our music ever since the start of our career, but to receive this award just really means a lot to us.” Felix then added to the speech by thanking JYP Entertainment, Republic Records, and their dedicated fans, STAYs, promising exciting things in the future.
They showcased their carefully choreographed routine along with their synced steps and intricate vocals. Bang Chan delivered the line, “Luxurious like I’m an S-Class / Best of the best, on first class,” with perfection.

As the performance kept progressing, in just minutes of time, Stray Kids managed to completely take control over the Prudential Center. The crowd’s enthusiastic response mirrored the group’s mastery, echoed throughout the venue. One of the most proud moments for the Stray Kids is when their performance caught the attention of music sensation Taylor Swift, who gave them a standing ovation. The fans quickly reacted to her reaction and made it a viral trend on Weibo.
The single that brought them the award titled “S-Class” is a track featured on their album “5-STAR,” which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart in June. This achievement marked Stray Kids’ third No. 1 project on the Billboard 200, following their successes with “MAXIDENT” and “ODDINARY” the previous year.
Not only at the The MTV Awards, Stray Kids become more popular foe their achievements. Their tour, the “Stray Kids 5-STAR Dome Tour 2023” in Osaka, came as a wonderful news to their Japanese fandom. Their explosive collaboration with the illustrious Japanese artist LiSA, who is famous for her anime soundtracks, including the celestial “Demon Slayer,”has been massively admired bu the fans all over the world.
