In the previous chapter of Sleeping Ranker, Hyunsung enters the Eroding Secret Hallway, where even the Rotting Baron cannot watch him with his clairvoyance. Hyunsung guesses that the hallways are not a part of the Rotting Baron’s territory and advances ahead to a room.

In the room, he finds several books about Thananos and his religion, as well as the Church. Hyunsung begins hoarding the books when he spots a letter on the desk. The letter describes that the rise of the undead inside the Church was related to Thananos himself.
