The one-on-one sessions have brought many buried feelings between Kody and the others onto the surface, but with Talk Back sessions set to start soon, things will be getting much more entertaining.
TLC’s Sister Wives is a reality series that focuses on a polygamist family led by Kody Brown and his ex-wives, Christine, Janelle, and Meri. His third and only wife, Robyn, is also a part of the series. Although the show originally started in 2010 in the form of a happy plural marriage, things have deteriorated between the wives over the years.
Kody belonged to a family that had indulged in polygamy for a long time. His wives Meri, Christine, Janelle, and Robyn led a chaotic yet fun life as a plural family until Kody started to only spend time with Robyn.
With Christine having divorced him first in the last few months, the rest of the wives seem to be heading towards the same path. Interviewer Sukanya Krishnan will be bringing these plural family members together to talk about the recent changes in their lives and how they feel about not being a part of a polygamist marriage.
Recap
The wives are excited to see Christine getting married soon. Meri and Janelle had already met David before and believed he was a much better person for Christine than Kody. When Kody was asked if he knew about David, he said he had only met him for a few minutes and was happy for Christine too.
Sukanya asks about the lunch that Kody and Christine had years ago where Christine had suddenly started laughing when Kody talked about the time he was stuck at home due to COVID. This frustrated Kody a lot, as Christine would always find humor in his suffering.
Kody hated the way she reacted but didn’t blame her for breaking the family apart. Brown believes it was his mistake to marry Christine without even loving her in the first place. Christine is shown the same clips, and she reveals she loves being a Disney villain sort of character.
Being with Kody had made her suppress her true self and after the divorce, she no longer had to force herself to act a certain way. Christine says that Robyn didn’t have any interest in being a part of a plural marriage. When Sukanya brings this up in front of Kody, he just feels they don’t understand each other at all.
When Christine was with David, she loved the connection between them and assumed it was the same for Kody and Robyn. The other wives no longer held a place in his heart, which is why the family broke apart after Robyn got married to Kody.
Janelle bets Sukanya $1000 that Robyn won’t be bringing anyone new into the family. Kody thinks the same, especially now that he knows he won’t love anyone else as much as he loves Robyn.
David comes to the interview and reveals more about his life before he met Christine. The connection between David and Christine was genuine and it’s obvious that they loved spending time with each other.
