Starz is soon rolling out the sophomore season of a horror and comedy show starring Courteney Cox, Mira Sorvino, and Greg Kinnear, playing a dysfunctional family that relocates to the suburbs after living in a big city.
The thing is that in Shining Vale, the house in which these dysfunctional yokels moved to has a lot of baggage.
For some reason, no one notices except a few family members, and there are ghosts and evil presences lurking around, showing that they have chosen the wrong place.
If you like mysteries, ghosts, and series about dysfunctional families with mental illnesses, we suggest you take a look at this show; the cast is amazing, and the short format of half an hour won’t take much of your time while also delivering a compelling story with strong character arc development.
Shining Vale Season 2 Preview
In an effort to preserve what’s left of their marriage and strengthen their bond with their children, Patricia and Terry relocate their family from a busy city to a possibly haunted, remote house in Connecticut in season 1.
After experiencing writer’s block for several years, Patricia finds inspiration to resume writing as the days pass. But soon after, Rosemary Wellingham, a housewife from the 1950s, starts to haunt her.
Terry, meanwhile, makes a crucial choice at work that will later come back to haunt him. Patricia learns that Terry has concealed something from her.
Patricia’s dysfunctional marriage and career are given new life by a deal with Rosemary Wellingham, but she quickly finds that she has received far more than she had anticipated.
The Phelps family battles the demons that seek to destroy them both individually and as a unit in the season finale, which also reveals the shocking conclusion of Patricia’s book.
It’s likely that the events of the first season will immediately follow in the prospective second season. The Phelps family may live in harmony while dealing with new, unsettling circumstances.
After a few obstacles, Patricia and Terry might be able to work out their differences and start a new chapter in their marriage.
