SHIBOYUGI Playing Death Games to Put Food on the Table's '44 CLOUDY BEACH' Confirms July 13 Worldwide Streaming Release

KADOKAWA has announced that SHIBOYUGI: Playing Death Games to Put Food on the Table – 44: CLOUDY BEACH will begin streaming worldwide on July 13, 2026. The announcement comes alongside the release of the first Game PV for the upcoming chapter, giving fans their first chance to hear the anime’s voice cast while teasing another deadly challenge for protagonist Yuki.

Based on the acclaimed light novel series by Yushi Ukai, SHIBOYUGI has become one of the most talked-about recent titles in the genre. The original novels won the Excellence Award at the 18th MF Bunko J Light Novel Newcomer Awards and ranked first in the “New Works” category of Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! 2024. With the latest installment set to stream globally, KADOKAWA is continuing to expand the series’ international reach through multiple streaming services, including Netflix and Crunchyroll.

Yuki faces a new survival game in CLOUDY BEACH

The upcoming chapter continues the story of Yuki, a professional death-game player who survives by earning prize money from dangerous competitions. After overcoming the infamous “Wall of Thirty,” a milestone where many players fail to survive, she enters her 44th game, titled CLOUDY BEACH.

This time, eight players are transported to a remote island isolated from the outside world. Several of them are familiar faces who have survived previous death games alongside Yuki, while others are new participants with mysterious backgrounds.

At first, escaping the island appears to be the objective. However, everything changes after the players discover a gruesome dismembered body the following morning. As suspicion grows among the contestants, the true conditions required to clear the game become increasingly uncertain, setting the stage for another psychological survival story.

The newly released Game PV offers fans their first voiced preview of the series, introducing the tense atmosphere and mystery surrounding CLOUDY BEACH.

Returning veterans and new contestants join the deadly game

Yuki is once again voiced by Chiyuki Miura, with several experienced players returning for the new chapter. Airi (Yume Miyamoto), another survivor of CANDLE WOODS, reunites with Yuki, while Essay (Anna Nagase) returns as one of the series’ intellectual veteran competitors.

The new game also introduces Koyomi (Yukari Tamura), a veteran player with connections to Hakushi, along with the quiet Hizumi (Konomi Inagaki), towering regular Maguma (Aino Shimada), carefree contestant Mitsuba (Riko Akechi), and newcomer Mozuku (Hikaru Tono). Each participant enters the island with different levels of experience, creating an unpredictable mix of alliances, distrust, and survival instincts.
