What Is Secret Invasion About?
Secret Invasion will follow Nick Fury in a time when a group of shapeshifting alien Skrulls has overrun the entire planet. The Skrulls replaced several well-known superheroes with alien doppelgängers in the comics as a prelude to their eventual full-scale Invasion of the planet.
The comic book series with the same name that was first released in 2008–2009 will serve as the basis for Secret Invasion. Kevin Feige, the head of Marvel, stated that the Disney+ original would function as a crossover event series that would connect with upcoming films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe when speaking about the project. A rogue Skrull group uses their shape-shifting prowess to pose as superheroes and infiltrate the Avengers in the Secret Invasion. In their invasion of Earth, they engage in a titanic struggle for global dominance with real people.
Fans Expectations
Fans should anticipate a novel interpretation of the well-liked source material, as will likely be the case with most comic book adaptations produced by the Disney studio. Along with Jackson and Mendelsohn, Secret Invasion also stars Olivia Colman —from Netflix’s The Queen—, Emilia Clarke—from HBO’s Game of Thrones—, Killian Scott, Christopher McDonald, and Carmen Ejogo in unspecified roles, and Kingsley Ben-Adir as the mysterious series’ main antagonist. Dermot Mulroney plays U.S. President Ritson.
Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill, Martin Freeman as Everett K. Ross, and Don Cheadle as James Rhodes will all come back in Secret Invasion. The Skrulls can shapeshift into anyone, so the possibility of further cameos from MCU characters—alive and dead—is only constrained by the availability and interest of the actors.
Secret Invasion Release Date
Secret Invasion will premiere on Disney+ in the spring of 2023. It was revealed that it and other upcoming properties would be a part of Phase Five, not Phase Four, at San Diego Comic-Con. The series will have six episodes lasting between 40 and 50 minutes. Except WandaVision has nine, most Disney+ shows like Moon Knight, Loki, and Hawkeye have six chapters.
Is There A Trailer For Secret Invasion?
Marvel has yet to release the Secret Invasion trailer. But if viewers compare recent trailer releases to the premiere of their show, they might be able to estimate a reasonable timeframe. On January 17, 2022, the first Moon Knight official trailer was released, and the series itself a little over two months later. The official Ms. Marvel trailer debuted on March 15, 2022, and the film itself was released on June 8, 2022, about three months later.
