Guess who’s back on screens? Samurai Jack makes a triumphant return, joining Adult Swim’s lineup of classic Cartoon Network shows in the Checkered Past block.
Last year, Adult Swim expanded its programming on Cartoon Network due to its success, resulting in the creation of the Checkered Past block, which features beloved classics like Dexter’s Laboratory and Ed, Edd n Eddy. The block’s popularity has led to the addition of more shows, including Cow and Chicken and now Samurai Jack.
Airing at 6 PM, Samurai Jack serves as the perfect bridge between Cartoon Network and Adult Swim, given its intense action.
Originally debuting in 2001 and running for four seasons, the demand for closure on Samurai Jack’s story persisted for over a decade until its return in 2017 for a fifth and final season on Adult Swim.
Created by Genndy Tartakovsky, the series underwent a darker transformation in its final season, providing fans with a thrilling end to Jack’s journey.
