Salvation Season 2 Synopsis
The plot of Salvation Season 2 continues with the discovery of an asteroid being done by an MIT grad student. He is a tech freak, and he finds out that this asteroid is approaching Earth at a great pace and shall hit Earth within six months, which is a short time to stop such natural phenomena from happening.
Thus, he and the entire government make every possible attempt to save the people and Earth. However, this hit was going to be massive, and it shall have global repercussions that won’t be a disaster for every dweller of Earth.
Further, as time passes by, way seems impossible to stop the apocalypse. Moreover, many secrets start emerging.
Salvation Season 2 Ending
The season began with a nuclear incident, and if it had not happened, nothing about the asteroid’s secret would have ever been revealed. However, Liam, Darius, Grace, and Harris were all set to take responsibility, and they were determined like never before.
Darius began his job; he further extended his strategies and asked the Pentagon press secretary Grace Barrows for help. Moreover, examining the situation, Liam joined hands with Darius, and both of them worked together to overcome many barriers.
Détente
However, a lot was going on between the countries, and it wasn’t possibly the best time for such a crisis. Thus, Darius and Grace needed to create an emotional détente so that there is international cooperation and nothing of such kind comes in their way to stop the ongoing mission. During this time, we see many personal as well as professional conflicts.
Further, Alycia is recognized by the FBI despite a hiding game. Then, we see Liam and Darius all set for the solar sail launch. Then, Zoe is also seen returning to Africa; however, after her arrival, Grace receives a call that threatens Zoe’s life. She panicked, and to her rescue, Alonzo came to provide her safety.
Loyalty Test
Missions like these take sacrifices, and thus, Grace needed to make one, too. She was asked to lie under oath to prove her loyalty. Further, Liam and Darius’ relationship is also tested concerning a dangerous mission that they are about to carry. It was outbreaks of violence everywhere now!
The Doomsday
Grace partners up with Claire’s brother, Alonzo, a risky partnership, we know! The government had all plans set for doomsday. However, the final mystery regarding the mission was left to stop the asteroid from striking the planet. Then, comes the twist that blew everyone’s mind.
In the closing minutes of an asteroid, something unusual happened. The object, which was an asteroid till now, slowed down its pace and kind of hung over Earth. Thus, it was made clear that this object did not mean to destroy the planet in any way; it was something else!
However, that remains a mystery if it was any sort of alien invasion or what, but the mission was bigger. In conclusion, it was no asteroid. Thus, this is how Salvation Season 2 ended.
