The ending of Salaar is enough to create hype for the movie and keep the audience in the loop for the next part. There are many things Prashant Neel has left for exploring.
There were a lot of things going on in the first half of the movie, including the character introduction and world-building. If you have seen the trailer, then you know it is an action flick, but it is also about building the world and characters of Khansar.
Most of the scenes and plots are there to build the story and hype for the next part. The title of the first part is Ceasefire, and the second part of the title will be Shouryanga Parvam. In this article, we will talk about the ending of the movie.
Synopsis
The plot of the movie begins with Adhya, played by Shritu Hassan, who is getting targeted. To keep her safe, her father sends her to Deva in Assam, played by Prabhas.
Deva saves him, and Adhya starts to question him about Khansar and the story that happened there seven years ago. The current timeline of the story is shown in 2017, but the events that happened occurred in 2010.
History of Khansar
Khansar was made in 1127 and consisted of three tribes that had robbers. In the tribes, Mannar is symbolized by a bull, Shouryanga is symbolized by a Wolf, and Garyang is symbolized by an Eagle.
Khansar always stayed as a separate body, even at the times of the Britishers. The drama began when they refused to join India in 1947 and decided to stay as an individual body.
Shiv Mannar is the head who has divided it into 101 territories, which are run by 61 Kapar (governors). There is an underlying voting system in Khansar, and the positions are represented by their bangles.
Kapar wears thin bangles, and their votes are counted as single votes. Next are 8 lords or Sardars, who wear thick bangles and they have three votes. Above them, we have a king or karta who wears big heavy bangles and has 15 votes.
Turning Moment
After the death of Shiv Mannar, Raj Mannar, his son, was set to take over his position, but he killed all the people of that tribe.
Deva tried to save his mother but did not manage to save everyone. That’s when Wardha saves Deva, and by doing that, he destroys his bangles. This tells us why Vardha is not a Sardar.
After this, he asks him to stand up from Khansar and take an oath. What happens next is the main point behind the whole chaos, and I will not give any spoilers.
Ending of the movie
All of them have massive armies for the fight, but Vardha only has Deva. On D-Day, Raj Mannar returned, and everyone voted to remove the ceasefire, but Mannar also had equal votes. Only Vardha was left to cast his vote.
The situation indicates that he will not remove the ceasefire, but the opposite happens, and he bites to remove the ceasefire. This is the turning point of the movie.
It was already shown that Deva and Vardha had already made up their mind to remove the ceasefire and kill everyone who was approaching.
All the Khansar has turned into battlegrounds. Vardha and Deva are wreaking havoc and killing everyone. Raj Mannar is also attacked, and then he tells a secret that in 1985, the Shouryanga tribe killed kids who were in hiding and since then have been waiting for this revenge, and his in-law also belonged to the same tribe.
The biggest reveal of the movie was the reveal of Mannar as the real king, who is from the Shouryanga tribe, and he is Deva. The movie ends with a lot of fights and action, where Vardha says that he wants everything from Khansar.
Unanswered questions
Many questions are looming in everyone’s minds, like how Deva and Wardha became enemies and who ordered the armory. All this fits as it is a two-part saga so you can expect a lot of action for the second part.
