Resident Evil Requiem has generated an estimated $558 million in premium revenue, according to Alinea Analytics‘ latest estimates covering PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam. The figure makes Capcom’s survival horror release the second-highest-grossing 2026 premium game in Alinea’s ranking, behind EA Sports FC 27’s estimated $714.1 million.

The estimate is particularly notable given how quickly Resident Evil Requiem has reached major sales milestones. Capcom announced in March that the game had surpassed 6 million copies worldwide, making it the fastest title in the franchise to reach that milestone.

Capcom’s official sales data has since moved beyond the 6 million milestone. The company’s latest financial information lists Resident Evil Requiem at 8 million units sold, showing that the game’s commercial momentum has continued well beyond its launch period.

The game launched on February 27, 2026, as the ninth mainline Resident Evil installment and coincided with the franchise’s 30th anniversary. Capcom developed it using the company’s RE ENGINE, with the game featuring both first-person and third-person perspectives that players can switch between during gameplay.

Resident Evil Requiem also features two protagonists, Leon S. Kennedy and Grace Ashcroft, and combines survival horror with more action-focused sequences. Capcom has continued supporting the game with additional content, while its strong performance has contributed to continued interest in the wider Resident Evil franchise.

The game’s commercial performance also places it ahead of several other major 2026 releases in Alinea’s premium-revenue estimates, including Forza Horizon 6 at $534.3 million and Crimson Desert at $426.7 million.
