The popular show of Jada Pinkett Smith, which is Red Table Talk Season 5, has returned one month after her husband Will Smith made headlines in TV and the newspaper by slapping Chris Rock at the 2022 Academy Award ceremony. The show debuted on 20 April. In the show, you will see her hosting with her daughter Willow Smith and her mother, Adrienne Banfield. The trailer of the Red Table Talk dropped on 19th April 2022. After the controversy happened at the 2022 Academy Award ceremony, everyone was expecting Jada Smith to talk about the same in her show. However, according to the trailer of Red Table Talk Season 5, we have not seen Jada talking about the controversy. The show is mostly about guests’ opinions and their stories. So, I don’t think Jada will pass any comment about the controversy in her show. However, she did say that her family is going through a healing process.

The first guest of Red Table Talk is Janelle Monae. This Grammy nominee will share her story of overcoming abandonment which was a result of her father’s addiction to drugs. She will help everyone who feels like they don’t fit in the society or have a fear of leaving behind by sharing her story. Janelle Monae Robinson is an American singer, rapper, actress, and songwriter. She has won eight Grammy nominations and won the ASCAP Vanguard Award in the year 2010. Apart from this, the same year, she also won an MTV Video Music Award.
The other interesting character is Kim Basinger. Kim Basinger is an American singer, actress, and fashion model. She will arrive at the show with her daughter Ireland Baldwin. There, she will talk about panic-related issues.
Apart from Janelle Monae, other notable guests are the parents of Cheslie Kryst. Cheslie Kryst was the Miss USA and American model, but at a very age, she committed suicide this year. For her achievement, she got nominated for the Daytime Emmy Awards. Her parents will come to Jada’s show to share their heartache and family dysfunction issues.
In an interview, Rodney Kryst (Cheslie’s father) shared the cause of Cheslie’s death. He said that her daughter was dealing with high-functioning depression, which she chose to keep a secret from all her closest friends, including her parents. Cheslie’s opened up about her depression when she didn’t have much time remaining.
We will also get to see Ayleen Charlotte, Jaden and Trey, and Barbara Corcoran. Barbara Corcoran is an American businesswoman, author, investor, speaker, and TV personality. She is the founder of the Corcoran Group. However, she walked away from the company after some time. In spite of belonging to a poor family, Barbara had a strong imagination and will for her future. She was keen on doing business from a very young age. In the show, Red Table Talk, she will be sharing her journey and life lessons.

The Release Date of Red Table Talk Season 5
The show Red Table Talk dropped its trailer on the 19th of April and started airing the show on Facebook on the 20th of April. This show is now available to stream on Facebook.
Jada wrote in the premiere title card that the Smith family is now focusing on deep healing, and their healing will be shared according to the time. This means that it is possible that sometime in the future, we will get to know Jada’s point of view about the controversy.
If you don’t know, let me tell you Will Smith got banned from Attending Oscars and related Award ceremonies for the next 10 years for slapping Chris Rock, who made fun of his wife’s shaved head. Later, his wife, Jada, clarified that she is suffering from Alopecia. Banning Will Smith does not include banning him from taking awards. He will still be able to receive awards. The only thing is that he will not attend the Oscar and Oscar-related ceremony.
