Disney Channel is embarking on a new comedy horror series this week called Pretty Freekin Scary that combines elements from early teenage life with dark undertones of life and death with a diverse cast, fun scripts, and guest stars in the Friday night prime time schedules to captivate audiences during the summer season that usually sees the regular scripted series take a break after their regular airing conclusions.
This series, Pretty Freekin Scary is another big bet by Disney as it is the third multi-camera setting sitcom not produced by a long-running production company affiliated with Disney, “It’s A Laugh Productions,” so it’ll be interesting to see how this show fares out. It was created by Jason Hauser under the seal of Cake Start Entertainment and featured a theme composed by popular reggaeton performers Daddy Yankee and Nicky Jam.
