Curtis Jackson’s Power Book III: Raising Kanan Season 2 Episode 3 is now back with a blast. The sophomore season consists of ten episodes, and we will see how young Kanan keeps rising through the ranks. And if that’s not enough, we will see the third season; just ten days ago, Starz greenlit the show for a third installment.
If you’re not familiar with Power Book III: Raising Kanan, it tells the story of Kanan Stark in his early years as he’s getting into the drug game. The show is executive produced by Curtis Jackson —who played Kanan in the original Power series— and Courtney A. Kemp. Now, without any further ado, let’s take a look at the latest episode recap.
Power Book III: Raising Kanan Season 2 Episode 2 Recap
When Raq meets Detective Howard, his words leave him feeling uneasy. He recalls everything and admits that Kanan shot him, but he feels terrible about his wrongdoing and decides not to press charges. She is forewarned that he will reveal his paternity to Kanan. Howard also informed Raq that Scrappy was a spy after seeing him at the precinct the previous evening.
Later, Worrell was invited to work with Raq, Marvin, and Lou-Lou and report to Lou during a meeting held by them. Lou-Lou was shocked, but he understood it was all for business. Worrell was assured that Unique had no real estate and that his supply from Deen had been cut off, even though Unique had been released from prison.
Raq Gets A Phone Call
As a result of rats consuming the money kept there, Raq received a call from Juliana at the bodega. When she asked Raq why they hadn’t spent any funds, Juliana suggested buying a house. Raq only insisted that she hire a pest control specialist. When Raw turned to leave, she spotted Unique’s girlfriend and gave her a deathly glare.
Unique was staying with his girlfriend’s mother because he had lost everything else, and she was tired of having them in her house. Nique went to see Deen (his plug), who had cut him off because he was wearing too much heat. Despite Unique’s claims to the contrary, the plug decided against taking a chance. After making a scene and storming out of the establishment, Nique went to his old smoothie shop. When Worrell entered, he was broken, and they started talking about rebuilding. Worrell had changed his mind and was not inclined to go back. Unique was furious with him for leaving him when he most needed him.

Famous
Famous’ mother threw him out of the house because he was too preoccupied with his drug use and extramarital affairs to concentrate on his music. He begged Kanan to stay at his home for a few days because he had nowhere else to go, but he could not. They devised a plan to sell Famous’ mixtapes on the streets so he could get a room for the night because he needed quick cash. Sadly, none of them made any sales, and to make matters worse, the police bothered and retaliated against them for hawking goods on the corner without a permit. Thankfully, they avoided arrest, but they still felt defeated.
Lou thought Zisa would be the next big thing while they were in the studio, but Crown disagreed. Later, Cartier Fareed paid them both a visit. Cartier was interested in Zisa and arranged for them to co-release her subsequent single to explore the possibility of working together. After receiving the job offer that Crown set her up with, Jessica finally told Lou that she was quitting. Raquel sought the help of a realtor to find a house in a better area. Raq reassured the realtor that she could, despite the realtor’s reservations.
Jukebox
Jukebox used Det. Burke’s assistance in locating her biological mother. Jukebox visited Kenya’s house and observed her leave without speaking to her. Raq talked to Lou-Lou and Marvin about whether Scrappy might be a rat. Lou knew that Scrap was devoted to them, even if it meant losing his eye. Raquel asked Marvin to figure out the truth because she wasn’t sure.
When Marvin visited Scrappy, the lab operated like a well-oiled machine. Scrap lied when Marvin asked him where he had been the previous night, claiming that he had helped a cousin uptown. Scrappy confronted Marvin after learning that Worrell, the adversary who gouged out his eye, had chosen not to promote him! Marvin was only trying to find out if Scrappy would lie about his whereabouts, although he had been a devoted member of the Thomas family since he was 14.
Marvin
Marvin visited Scrappy’s cousin to follow up on that tip, but she hadn’t seen him. So he gave Raq and Lou the information, but he wasn’t sure if Scrappy was an informant. If he was, Raquel warned her brothers. They might lose everything. Lou left the meeting because he didn’t want to take the next step—swing the bat and make another Reggie Jackson mistake for her.
Later, Scrappy was picked up by Marvin and Lou to be shown the new location for his promotion. He was too excited to pay attention to their nonverbal cues. They led him to the deserted 1940s structure, where he was amazed by the size and thought about how wonderful it would be to run the new location for them. Raq suddenly placed a revolver to Scrappy’s head and fired, killing him! Lou walked away, and Marvin shed a tiny tear.
