With Palworld preparing to leave Early Access on July 10, Pocketpair has offered another glimpse at just how substantial the Version 1.0 update will be. While players already know that the full release introduces new content and endgame features, the latest tease suggests the accompanying patch notes could be massive.
Bucky, Pocketpair’s publishing manager and communications director, shared an update on X, revealing the challenge of organizing the extensive list of changes. The post read,
“Losing my mind trying to make nice patch notes for Palworld 1.0… who’d have thought that, checks notes, 27 PDF pages of changes and additions would be hard to make neat.”
Although the final patch notes may be condensed before release, the post indicates that Version 1.0 will include a significant number of improvements, gameplay additions, and new systems.
Palworld’s full release is set to be its biggest update yet
Pocketpair has already confirmed that Palworld 1.0 will be the game’s largest update since its Early Access launch. Among the headline additions is a new endgame scenario centered around the World Tree, giving veteran players fresh objectives after completing the main progression.
The developer has also revealed new Pals, including Puffolt and Sekhmet, alongside additional weapons and content. Recent previews have further hinted at an unexplored region featuring floating islands, suggesting that the game’s world will expand considerably when Version 1.0 arrives.

Interestingly, Pocketpair has recommended that experienced players consider starting a new character to experience the new progression naturally. However, the studio has confirmed that existing save data will not be wiped, allowing players to continue with their current characters if they prefer.
While the July 10 release marks Palworld’s transition to a full launch, Pocketpair has made it clear that development will continue afterward. The studio has committed to ongoing post-launch support, meaning Version 1.0 is intended to be the beginning of the next stage rather than the end of active development.
With nearly 27 pages of changes reportedly being compiled, players can likely expect a comprehensive list of balance adjustments, quality-of-life improvements, bug fixes, and new gameplay features when the official patch notes are published.
