Sony may be preparing a major return to its most recognizable single-player franchises for the PlayStation 6 era. A report published by GameGPU claims that the company is considering projects involving God of War, Uncharted and Killzone, although Sony has not officially confirmed this rumored PS6 lineup.

The reported strategy comes as Sony reassesses how it spends development resources. The company is said to be placing greater emphasis on established intellectual property and internally controlled projects rather than taking on expensive, long-running external initiatives.

God of War, Uncharted and Killzone Could Define PS6’s Early Lineup

According to GameGPU, a new God of War project is among the games being considered for PlayStation 6, while Naughty Dog could eventually return to the Uncharted franchise. The report also claims a Killzone remake could be developed with an external studio under Guerrilla Games’ supervision.

The Killzone rumor has received some additional attention, with MP1st reporting that an external studio is working with Guerrilla on a project described as a remaster or remake. However, the exact game being revisited remains unknown.

Sony has already demonstrated an increased willingness to revisit established franchises. In February 2026, the company officially announced that the original God of War trilogy is being remade, although the project remains in early development.

If the reported strategy continues into the PlayStation 6 generation, Sony could be positioning recognizable franchises as a major part of the console’s launch-window appeal. However, the reported Uncharted and Killzone projects should be treated as unconfirmed until Sony or the developers involved make an official announcement.
