Peaky Blinders officially ended in 2022, leaving fans with a strong connection to Cillian Murphy’s character, Tommy Shelby. The show told the story of a powerful crime family in Birmingham, and its ending left many viewers wanting more.
However, the excitement returned when the creators announced a movie to complete the story. The upcoming film, titled The Immortal Man, will serve as the final chapter of the Shelby family’s journey.
Steven Knight, the creator, is making sure the movie has a big-budget production, bringing back major characters from the show along with some new additions.
Although Tommy Shelby’s story seems to be reaching its conclusion, Peaky Blinders itself may not be ending completely. On February 18, during an interview with BBC Breakfast, Knight called The Immortal Man “a very fitting way to end this part of the Peaky story.”
He then emphasized the words “this part” before adding, “I’m not allowed to announce it, but I’m just saying that the world of Peaky will continue.” Knight has made similar comments before, previously stating, “The film is coming out and that won’t be the end.
It won’t be the end. Let me put it that way.” His repeated hints suggest that there could be more Peaky Blinders-related content in the future.

Peaky Blinders Movie Promises an Epic Conclusion but Hints at More
Fans eagerly waiting for updates about the franchise’s future can still look forward to The Immortal Man, which promises an exciting conclusion to Tommy Shelby’s journey. During the BBC Breakfast interview, Knight confirmed that filming was completed on December 13, 2024.
He explained, “We’re putting it together now,” and confidently added, “I would say this, wouldn’t I? But it’s fantastic. We’ve got the best, I think, the best British actors all in one place, including Stephen [Graham]. The stuff that I’m watching – the rushes, the assemblies – no one will be disappointed.
It is quite an incredible thing.” Knight strongly believes that this movie will provide a satisfying ending to this chapter of Peaky Blinders, saying, “It’s a very fitting way to end this part of the Peaky story.”
Cillian Murphy will return as Tommy Shelby, and he will be joined by an impressive cast. Mission: Impossible’s Rebecca Ferguson, The Banshees of Inisherin and Saltburn star Barry Keoghan, and Peaky Blinders favorite Stephen Graham will all be part of the film.

The legendary Tim Roth, as well as Jay Lycurgo, Ned Dennehy, and Sophie Rundle, will also appear. This collection of top actors has raised expectations for a thrilling movie.
The exact release date for The Immortal Man has not been announced yet, but updates will be coming soon. While fans wait for the movie, they can watch all six seasons of Peaky Blinders on Netflix. With strong hints about more Peaky Blinders content in the future, the world of Tommy Shelby may not be finished just yet.
