What better time to fall in love than in high school? Like most Japanese manga, everything of significance happens in high school, especially love. But though we have read about school-time romance at least a million times, we still want more. It’s something addicting and enjoyable that takes us back to our good old days and when we were younger and ever so susceptible to the sickness called love.
Osananajimi no Ohimesama is a great high school romantic comedy written and illustrated by 9C and has been serialized in Shounen Champion. It is about a boy trapped in a love triangle of sorts with two girls, one his best friend and one his crush. Before we reveal to you the release date, let’s read a little about the synopsis of the story.
Shunsuke and Hinaki have been best friends ever since they were kids and next-door neighbors. In fact, Hinaki is the only friend Shunsuke has. It was the day of the entrance ceremony and they are late. But once they reach school, they find out that they are in the same class as always.
Shunsuke wanted to knock off the whole childhood friends concept now that the two of them are in high school but that’s easier said than done. Even as they entered their new class, the others thought that they were lovers and were dating but Hinaki has always had trouble with the concept of love.
Shunsuke never thought he would have a fairy-tale love story himself but his whole world gets turned upside down during one visit to the library. There he meets Koiwai Kiyoka who makes his heart skip a beat and unable to speak. How is Shunsuke going to handle the two girls in his life? One, the “Friend” princess, and the other, the “Love” princess.

Osananajimi no Ohimesama Chapter 13 Recap
The chapter is titled.” The Gazing Princess”. Hinaki is recollecting how she doesn’t understand love at all and she is not interested in understanding it either. Not when she is having so much fun with life as it is. But that did not last for long as everyone keeps mistaking Shunsuke and herself to be lovers.
The love-crazed aliens refused to leave them alone and she was fed up. That’s also the reason why she did not want Shunsuke to fall in love. She wonders if even though she isn’t in love with Shunsuke, does she still have the right to separate him from Kiyoka.
While talking to her friends, Hinaka notices that Shunsuke had gone somewhere. Isuzu said that she knew where he went and offered to lead her to him. They go to the library and over there see Shunsuke and Kiyoka together. Hinaki feels sad and tells that it is unfair.
She tells that it took a lot of effort to become friends with him but why is love allowed to skip all that effort? She wonders if love is that powerful. She was about to interrupt them when Isuzu tells her to wait. She tells Hinaki that she wants to help her and to prove that friendship trumps love.
