Inspired by Jan Guillou’s classics, the TV series Ondskan is a psychological drama coming from Dansy Films and SF Studios. Having a similar concept to that of the film and movie, this C More series aims to explore the same themes in a much more intricate manner.
The Swedish series Ondskan, translated simply to “Evil,” centers on Erik, a 16-year-old boy who has been brought up in the worst of conditions. While his father beats him severely after dinner each day, all his mother does is watch helplessly while playing the piano.
It’s no surprise that growing up in a harsh environment would create the same qualities in Erik, but after an extremely violent fight at his current school, Erik is sent off to a one-of-a-kind, far-away boarding school that’s worse than what Erik has gone through before.
In this unforgiving and brutal environment, Erik Ponti manages to stay calm and not bend down to the oppression. At Stjärnsberg, the boarding school, Erik also falls in love with a girl named Marja, who eventually becomes the reason for Erik’s positive growth & happiness.
About The Show & Cast
Besides Isac Calmroth playing the role of Erik Ponti, the cast of Ondskan consists of Thea Sofie in the role of Marja, Alexander Gustavsson plays Pierre Tanguy, Christian Fandango plays Otto and Ruth Vega Fernandez will be starring as Karin.
Isac Calmroth is a young Swedish actor known for his other roles in projects like Allt som blir kvar, Helt perfeckt, and Love Me. While he is a relatively new actor, Isaac has been praised for his way of delivering his roles with accuracy and emotion.
The plot of the Ondskan series is likely going to follow the same storyline, with Erik going into Stjärnsberg and finding out that the boarding school is worse than his father and old school combined.
Stjärnsberg has a unique system, that makes sure bullies and evil students are not held accountable for their actions. These wicked students can give detentions, beat the kids up, or even threaten to end their lives without ever facing any sort of punishment themselves.
The only source of calm in this chaos is Marja, Erik’s love interest, who happens to be a kitchen helper from Finland. Through love, friendship, and resilience, Erik has to try and break the generational violence and rage at both Stjärnsberg and his home.

Spoilers
The pilot of Ondskan will introduce us to Erik, a young 16-year-old boy whose life has always been filled with violence. Whether Erik was at home or school, conflict, and anger seemed to taint every place he would be at.
We’ll also be seeing Erik being sent off to Stjärnsberg in this episode as well. What makes Stjärnsberg worse is that it isn’t an ordinary boarding school. It has a built-in oppressive system that makes it easy for older students and adults to freely abuse younger students without any consequences.
