I don’t know whether it was postponed for the next chapter or they skipped it.
Basically, Dokja does end up dying, and Olympus, Papyrus, and a few other Nebulae use the power of “fate” (it will be explained later) to essentially curse Dokja into dying. Yoo Joonghyuk uses the sword he took from the alcohol to kill Dokja (the fate he got was to be killed by the one he loves most).
And since it’s the weapon that originally killed the big 8 lives snake, it cancels out his 8 lives. He has to turn into a demon king. And if they didn’t cancel out his extra lives, he would’ve re-spawned as one, making everyone else fail the scenario and die because the penalty for failure in that specific scenario was death.
Dokja becomes a temporary demon king of the 73rd realm and gets the name Demon King of Salvation. Dokja then proceeds to die as the incarnation. He goes to the 73rd demon realm with the help of Wenny Man and starts a revolution with the name of Yoo Joonghuk.
Then he becomes the real demon king of the 73rd demon realm, obtains the first giant fable, and gets his calcification of ends. In short, Dokja will become the 73rd demon king, and Yoo Joonghuk kill him because the demon king must die to end the scenario.
Dokja gets kicked out of the main Korea scenario, only to finally return in the 45th scenario. We get an arc with a secretive plotter that explores more of the lore around the novel in between gigantomachy and the demon realm.
