Not Others episode 5 will be released next week. The K-drama is a reflection of one of the most beautiful bonds to exist: the mother-daughter bond.
The drama is a combination of genres slice of life, mystery, comedy, and romance. With each episode, the character development and story get even better, proving it to be more than a regular drama.
The story is about Eun Mi, a girl who got pregnant during her student life. She keeps the baby, and once blessed with the baby girl, she raises her alone. Now Eun Mi works as a physical therapist, and her daughter Jin Hee works as a cop.
Eun Mi has to face the return of Park Jin, and Jin Hee has to put up with Jae Won. Their life gets messier, and they have a hard time getting along.
Not Others Episode 4 Recap
The episode begins with a flashback scene where Eun Mi’s boyfriend is drunk and beats her. Eun Mi’s friend Mi Jung comes to her rescue. She tries to stop her drunk boyfriend and tells him that Eun Mi is pregnant.
The man is hardly concerned. He goes to grab a knife, but Mi Jung manages to stop him and takes Eun Mi along. Now we see Eun Mi, Mi Jung, and Jin Hee sitting together and discussing the past.
Jin Hee praises Mi Jung for her bravery when Eun Mi interferes by saying she wants me to get an abortion. Mi Jung says that they were just students back then, so she had to advise her friend about abortion.
Jin Hee says that she understands her situation. Next, Eun Mi shows them a dating app her friend recommended, and she has made a profile on it. She is happy about getting many likes on her profile.
When Jin Hee leaves the house, she looks at an old building thinking about whose house it could be. Just then, Jae Won comes out of the house, but Jin Hee does not see him. After walking further, she notices a girl on top of a building trying to commit suicide with media and police gathering in decent numbers.
The policeman tells her that her name is Lee Na, and it’s not the first time she’s trying this. Jin Hee notices a guy is watching her. She tries to catch the guy, but he flees, and meanwhile, Lee Na is saved.
Eun Mi is happily gazing at her profile when she notices that Park Sang has joined the app too. She accidentally likes his profile and quickly dislikes it. At the clinic, Park Sang informs that he has filed a case against Mrs. Na’s son.
Eun Mi tells Do Hee that she has to uninstall the app because she liked Park Sang’s profile but Did Hee denies it because she gets money for it. At the police station, everyone gets together to eat and drink. Jae Won gets too drunk, and Jin Hee has to drop him.
Officer Soon Cheol gives her his house keys. Upon reaching, she looks at the resignation letter and Jae Won’s smiling picture. Jae Won asks Jin Hee again how she is so simple, and she says it’s because of her mother.
She suggests he be with a simple person to become one. Later, Lee Na is harassed by a man but is saved by Eun Mi. Jin Hee meets her first love Jin Soo whom she broke up with, and takes him home.
Eun Mi has always liked him since the two were childhood friends and became lovers, along with the fact that he is handsome. At work, Park Sang is looking at Eun Mi’s profile, and later the two have a conversation about it.
He was not able to recognize Eun Mi. He thought its some stranger woman who liked and then disliked his profile. Eun Mi tries to deceive by saying it could be a scammer and deletes her profile from his phone. Later, she finds out that Park Sang has liked her profile again.
Eun Mi, Jin Hee, Jin Soo, and Mi Jung go out for dinner, and Jae Won joins them later. In a park, a worker finds out a dead body, and it is Lee Na. Jin Hee and Eun Mi talk about her and are upset.
When Jin Hee is out on duty, she suspects a man of taking photos of a girl. The man’s name is Jin Hong, and he is taken to the police station. He refuses to show his phone to anyone, but Jae Won convinces him.
They find nothing in his phone, and Jin Hee apologizes to him. He goes to use the washroom when Eun Mi and Mi Jung arrive. Jin Hong keeps looking at Eun Mi but leaves when Jin Hee notices him.
At night, Jin Hee sees a man looking at their room from the street. On spotting her, he runs, and Jin Hee follows. She calls the police and manages to catch the man: it is Jin Hong, and the police arrive.
