Ootsuka Rihito is an employee at a game development company and an introvert. He likes to spend time alone reading manga and watching movies. He isn’t particularly passionate about his work. He comes to work so that he can fund his lifestyle. That being said, Rihito is pretty competent at what he does.
Then there is Saotome Nao. She is Rihito’s senior and the complete opposite. She is very passionate about her work and is very outgoing and chatty. Being friends with someone like that was not something Rihito considered even once, but circumstances led to it.
After working late, Rihito noticed that Nao was still at the office. He decided to tell her goodbye before he left. He found her sobbing uncontrollably.
Rihito tried to console her, though unsuccessfully. She was the one who suggested they become friends. She soon learns that she was recently dumped by her boyfriend.
Furthermore, it turns out she has no other friends and is very lonely. The story progresses as they develop their friendship step by step. Nao is very insecure about their friendship and tends to take every small mistake as the end of their friendship.
This leaves Rihito to pick up the pieces and reassure her that nothing is wrong. One would assume that since Rihito is an introvert and Nao is an extrovert, their personalities would clash, but that is not the case. Rihito is very patient with her, and since Nao is very accomplished in her field, there is a lot Rihito can learn from her as well.

In the last chapter, we saw Nao and Rihito meeting one of Nao’s online friends. There, we are introduced to Negeimon. She is an artist as well. Nao was intimidated by Negeimon at first but got along with her fine later on. They soon got to talking, then to arguing, and finally to drinking. By that time, Rihito had already passed out.
Negeimon asks Nao if Rihito is her boyfriend, to which she replies that he is just a friend. They talk about Nao’s past relationships and how all of them turned out to be horrible people. Negeimon tells her that she deserves better and that she should find someone soon. Rihito wakes up suddenly. Nao asks if he is listening to their conversation, only to realize that he is still drunk.

In the chapter, we will get to see Rihito try and console Nao. Turns out she made a big mistake and is now afraid of what to do. She is crying in the middle of the street, and she calls Rihito to help. Rihito arrives diligently even though it looks like it is his day off.
It seems that he has grown close enough to Nao that he is willing to waste his day off to be with her. Their friendship seems to be growing steadily, making us very excited to see what the future holds.
