Nintendo has acknowledged player concerns over the online connectivity issues that affected Splatoon 3 and says it is taking extra steps to ensure Splatoon Raiders launches with a more stable online experience. The comments came during Nintendo’s 2026 annual shareholders’ meeting, where President Shuntaro Furukawa addressed a question about the upcoming Switch 2 exclusive.
According to a live update shared by NStyles on X, Furukawa explained that Nintendo is placing significant emphasis on debugging and quality assurance before release.
Nintendo Focused on Improving Online Stability
Responding to shareholder concerns about multiplayer connectivity, Furukawa said Nintendo is working extensively on the game’s debugging process to minimize the communication errors that frustrated some Splatoon 3 players.
According to live translations shared by NStyles on X, Nintendo is
“working hard on debugging”
and aims to ensure Splatoon Raiders delivers on its intended online experience.
Although Nintendo has not yet released the official Q&A transcript, the company has historically published shareholder meeting summaries on its investor relations website following annual meetings.
Communication errors became one of the most discussed technical issues surrounding Splatoon 3 after its launch. Players frequently encountered disconnect messages during online matches, leading Nintendo to release multiple updates over the years aimed at improving server stability, matchmaking, and network performance.
The company’s latest comments suggest those experiences have directly influenced development priorities for Splatoon Raiders, particularly as the game includes optional cooperative multiplayer alongside its single-player campaign.
What Splatoon Raiders Offers

Unlike previous mainline entries, Splatoon Raiders is primarily designed as a single-player action adventure. Players take control of a mechanic exploring the mysterious Spirhalite Islands, battling Salmonids, collecting treasure, and upgrading equipment using a variety of ink-based weapons and mechanical gadgets.
The adventure also reunites players with Deep Cut members Frye, Shiver, and Big Man, who accompany the protagonist throughout the campaign. Nintendo has confirmed that one member of the trio will join players during raids using a powerful robotic companion.
While the campaign focuses on solo gameplay, players can also team up with up to three others through online multiplayer or local wireless play, making reliable network performance an important part of the overall experience.
Splatoon Raiders launches exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2 on July 23, 2026, alongside new Deep Cut amiibo figures featuring updated character designs from the game.
