Nintendo ADR Falls 3.56% as Trading Volume Surges Despite Strong U.S. Market Rally

Nintendo Co. Ltd.’s American depositary receipts (ADR) fell 3.56% to $10.57 on Tuesday, underperforming a broader U.S. stock market that finished higher. The NASDAQ Composite gained 1.29%, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.74%.

Tuesday marked Nintendo ADR’s second consecutive losing session. The stock also closed 57.58% below its 52-week high of $24.92, reached on August 18.

Despite the decline, investor activity increased sharply, with 15.4 million shares traded, far exceeding the stock’s 50-day average daily volume of 4.1 million shares.

Among industry peers, Hasbro climbed 8.81%, Sega Sammy Holdings ADR gained 1.44%, while Take-Two Interactive Software slipped 1.28%.
