The finale of the Night Has Come starts when Da-bum is about to stand Jung-won. But the announcement is live that mafias cannot kill each other. Jung-won asks Da-bum not to break the rules and uses pepper spray to run away and shut the door. She tells Da-bum to wait for the next thirty minutes.
He stays in the freezer, and as the cold starts to get him, he starts to hallucinate. He takes on the body he thinks of Yoon-seo but is shocked to see it is Na-hee. It looks like Jung-won has judged Yoon-seo somewhere else and did not hurt Jun-hee as it was made to believe.
Jung-won takes Yoon-seo’s phone and places it near her sleeping body.
Who is Jung-won?
The next morning, Jung-hee and Yoon-seo wake up. Yoon-seo locates Jung-won and confronts her. She cannot take the betrayal and wishes to be dead. Jung-won has no extra time to explain it to her and says she has to find Da-bum, who has run away.
Jun-hee reaches out and listens to their conversation. He attacks Jung-woo, but Yoon-seo somehow stops her. Jung-woo dashes to locate Da-bum, Jun-hee asks Yoon-seo to wait as he handles the business.
He pushes them to vote Da-bum out and kill Jung-won to win the game. Yoon-Seo is doubtful but agrees to lock her door and hang back. Jung-won indicates to them by messaging that Da-bum is approaching, so be careful.
She continuously checks for the perimeter while Yon-seo discovers a box inside her bag. Jung-won left her a message on a USB to explain everything.
When Yoo-seo opens the USB, she finds that Jung-won is not a real person but a game character and is there to represent Se-eun. They were best friends, very close friends, and exchanged birthday gifts.
Who wins the game?
Jung-won runs into Jun-hee, and both of them start to bicker as Jun-hee does not trust her. In between their communication, they receive a message from Da-bum where he asks them to come to the roof if they want to save Yoon-seo.
On the roof, Da-bum asks her to jump if she wants to see Yoon-seo alive. Jung-woo asks for assurance that Da-bum will not hurt others.
Yoon-seo tries to get free, but Jun-hee jumps and takes Da-bum down. They both struggle, but Jun-hee hits him on the head with a stone.
What happens after the end of the game?
Yoo-seo wakes up in a strange place that looks like a laboratory. She sees that other students are trapped in a machine, and looks like they’re still in the game. A man approaches and asks her not to wake other students.
The real motive behind the game?
Se-eun’s parents made the game after their daughter died by suicide. They blame the students for the death of their daughter. Her photo was used to create a fake video that was spread in the school.
Da-bum was the one who made that video. No one believed Se-eun to be innocent, and So-mi, with her gang, was constantly bullying her. Yoo-seo was not aware of the video and is not in regret.
The parents were looking for revenge and told Yoon-seo that students had played these games many times. This was the first time Jung-won helped them.
Yoon-seo asks them to stop or take responsibility and let others leave. But the parents refuse and tell her that if she’s not fully awake, she should not fight it, or she will get sick. She passes out as she asks her parents for mercy as they connect her back to the machine.
How does the show end?
Yoon-seo goes back to the game with all the memories. The students go to the center, and she is relaxed and no longer sees Junh-won. She turns to take a look at Kyung-joon’s gang in the back and sees Jung-won. Jung-woo gave a scared look, and she started to freak out.
