Billboard’s ’21 under 21′ list was released, and NewJeans is the only K-pop group to make the cut, which is a significant achievement for them.
Billboard’s ’21 under 21′ list recognizes young musicians for their current influence in the music industry and their potential for future success.
The 2024 list describes NewJeans as having established a “singular presence in K-pop since debuting just two years ago,” and goes on to list the group’s achievements.
“[NewJeans has scored] three top 10 hits on the Billboard Global 200, four on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart, five on the Hot 100 and six on World Digital Song Sales.”
NewJeans’ inclusion on the ’21 under 21′ list comes shortly after being named Billboard’s Women in Music Group of the Year. Additionally, their latest release, ‘How Sweet,’ continues to dominate the charts.
