NCIS Los Angeles Season 13 Episode 21 Recap
Katya was an excellent supervillain. She created excellent deepfakes for everyone. She even tried to employ them to cajole Callen, but the strategy failed because the team devised secret codes for every phone call. When Callen didn’t hear the hint word from the imposter Sam, he recognized it was a forgery.
He dialed the honest Sam on a sham phone. They discovered that Katya had been spying on them so well that she was aware of their cases. After the two guys agreed to meet somewhere off the books, Sam later came up. Never did Callen. Callen vanished. The team investigated and discovered the video of Sam entering a separate building.
Team Goes To Work
The team got to work. Except for Deeks, who was preparing paperwork for their adoption, the rest discovered no evidence of Callen and went inside. They found the building to be deserted. Fatima was only able to check their cameras once the rest of the team reconnected the power, and it was only then that she discovered Katya had Callen. Katya was leading her team.
They snatched Callen and thrashed him. After that, they also transferred him to another location. Callen was busy explaining to Katya how she wasn’t a creature meant for love because she wanted vengeance for Callen taking the only person she’s ever loved. She was designed for revenge.

On The Hunt For Howard Pembrooke
Howard Pembrooke was a man who tortured them both as children as part of a specific program aimed at developing the ideal soldier. Pembrooke ran this type of initiative in both Russia and the United States. He was a terrible person. He tortured the children in his care, so Callen sought to bring him down.
Katya, on the other hand, was not persuaded. She assumed that after killing Pembrooke, Callen would never let her go. Callen had to inform her that he would not only assist her in killing Pembrooke, but he would also help her escape. That was how badly he wanted Pembrooke dead.
Katya Is In Disbelief
Only Katya refused to believe him. She also figured that Pembrooke had to be in the city if Callen discovered him, so she set out on her own to find him. Katya does not resemble her former self. First, she underwent plastic surgery. Second, She has a team that has hidden their identities and locations.
When the group sought to discover them, they fell into a rabbit hole they couldn’t get out of. They kept uncovering forgeries. They kept getting sent to the wrong places. Because they couldn’t be found, Callen had all the time in the world to present his case. He demonstrated to Katya that he was so familiar with Pembrooke that he identified his cologne as the one Katya now wears. Katya began wearing it as a means of ultimately forgetting the fragrance. Callen was also able to prove his statements in another method. He used a phrase that Pembrooke had used on them. He told Katya, and she knew he was talking the truth.
