Seeiw and Cake are two childhood friends and neighbors who were separated when one left for abroad. Despite their contrasting personalities, Seeiw and Cake are close friends. Cake grew up more as an extroverted kid while Seeiw is more introverted. The only people Seeiw feels close to are his family members and Cake. Because of Cake’s presence as a good friend, Seeiw never thought of extending his social circle until one day Cake leaves for abroad. After he returns, Cake finds out that Seeiw has changed a lot and his social skills have developed a lot. Seeing Seeiw with all of his friends makes him jealous, which leads to Cake questioning his feelings for Seeiw.
On the other hand, Seeiw faces a family problem which leads to further complications with his and his father’s relationship. This brings distress but also brings Cake and Seeiw together, and Seeiw finally realizes his love for Cake. Seeiw’s introverted qualities and Cake’s extroverted qualities have resonated with the viewers. Many of them have expressed how they felt seen with the representation of Seeiw.
From the hesitation of talking to new people to having a smaller friend circle has justly mirrored introversion. However, Cake’s role hasn’t been any less complicated. Cake is the only friend Seeiw has therefore, Cake has a big part to play in his life, which often becomes tiring. But watching Seeiw struggle, it has been easier for people to understand his perspective as well.
The actors, Earth and Santa, have perfectly portrayed the role of their characters. The fans seem to enjoy the chemistry between the actors as well as Seeiw and Cake. Both of them had their hurdle, and they had each other while passing through them. Watching them take care of each other as friends and as they explore their feelings has been comforting. It is only to see what the next episodes bring.
