Akane and Yamada have gotten a lot throughout over 100 chapters, and now the rest of the cast is becoming part of the main story. We saw how Kotaro and Yamada were close pals before the serious romance between the two characters began. However, the relationship between these two male characters will start to take a new shape in My Lv999 Love For Yamada-Kun Chapter 104 and beyond.
We also got to see Takaya (Childhood Friend of Yamada) make a return to the romance series in the last chapter while the Gunma Festival was being held. Moreover, Michan was one of the other characters that made an appearance in the issues, though her presence was vocal this time.
The main actors of the last chapter were Yamada and Kotaro, who were worried about their future and where it would lead them. And while it did lead to a sullen mood between the two, they still decided to go to the future and see what the future holds. However, there was also the talk between the childhood friends who were worried about the future as well.

Sure, there were some awkward pauses between the characters here and there, but that is a given for a slice-of-life series. Also, we got to see what was going on in the head of the male lead of the story.
And speaking of the male lead, Takaya had been completely left out of the story, a sad sap who didn’t get accepted. But this is a running trope in the romance genre when it is from Japan: childhood friends always lose. There could be an entire list dedicated to it, or maybe there already is somewhere on the internet.
But we digress. The main focus of the last chapter was Yamada and Akane’s older brother Kotaro. Yamada and Kotaro talked about the future that they will likely have now that Yamada is dating Akane, but their discussion didn’t reach any conclusion with Kotaro also backing off in the end.

My Lv999 Love For Yamada-Kun Chapter 103 started with Akane and Takane meeting each other at the Gunma Festival. The two weren’t stoked to see each other during the festival, but they exchanged pleasantries regardless. Takane is more awkward than usual due to the circumstances that took place throughout the chapters, but Akane is over that.
We hear someone make an announcement over the megaphone at the festival, and it was none other than Miichan. Akane was able to recognize the owner of the voice, but there was something odd about the way she talked. Takaya hints that Miichan is suffering from problems but doesn’t indulge too much in the issues.
We are then brought to Yamada and Kotaro, having a short discussion in the toilet booth over their future and how their relationship will change. Kotaro was talking about his sibling and what his relationship with her was like, making Yamada feel alienated in this discussion. However, Kotaro is oblivious to how Yamada is feeling and only gets the gist of what is going on later in the chapter.
