The upcoming release of My Hero Academia chapter 423 has sparked intense discussion among fans, particularly due to the alleged spoilers revealing Tomura Shigaraki’s death.
According to these spoilers, the chapter centers on Deku’s final push against TomurAFO, with significant support from all the vestiges of One for All and even Shigaraki emerging from the darkness to aid in the battle against absolute evil.
In this pivotal chapter, Deku reunites with Shigaraki. Before turning to dust, Shigaraki requests Deku to tell Spinner that he fought to destroy everything until the very end.
This scene marks the death of one of the series’ major antagonists, as his body disintegrates, signifying his end.
Is This the End for Tomura Shigaraki?
The spoilers indicate that Shigaraki indeed dies in chapter 423. However, it remains unclear what direction the series will take next, as My Hero Academia has not announced a date for its climax chapter. This uncertainty leaves room for speculation about potential future developments, including whether the villain could somehow return.
As the chapter begins, All for One realizes that his stolen quirks are malfunctioning, allowing Deku to approach him easily. All for One’s mental state deteriorates as he recalls the death of his brother, Yoichi, the first vestige of One for All.

Facing the threat of his own demise, All for One considers transferring the All for One quirk to another body. In a desperate move, he lunges towards Deku but is intercepted by Shirakumo (Kurogiri), who demands that All for One return Shigaraki’s body to his friends.
In a surprising turn of events, Bakugo appears and propels Deku towards All for One. With a final punch, Deku transfers the last embers of One for All into TomurAFO’s body, liberating Shigaraki and the vestiges of One for All. Shigaraki then joins Deku in defeating All for One as the villain’s vestige fades away.

Following the defeat of the true evil, Shigaraki expresses his final wish to Deku, asking him to convey to Spinner that he continued his destructive path until the end.
Deku responds that Shigaraki only destroyed what was necessary for the greater good. As rain ceases on the battlefield, Shigaraki’s frail body crumbles to dust, marking his demise.
While the alleged spoilers suggest that Tomura Shigaraki is dead, his return cannot be entirely ruled out given that the series has not yet reached its final chapter. This leaves fans eagerly anticipating future developments in My Hero Academia.
