Mr. Mayor Season 2 Episode 7 sees Mikael getting a chance to figure out her feelings for James during a party arranged by Jayden. Recently on the show, James broke Mikaela’s heart when she asked her out, and he wasn’t able to say yes. Mikaela didn’t opt to ask again. Everyone thought she was down after that moment. But Mikaela tried to show that she was not. Guess she just needed a break from work, and now this game could be an opportunity.

Previously on Mr. Mayor Season 2, Orly managed to get into a prestigious internship program. She will be part of the Mayor’s Youth Leadership Program. She kept this a secret from Neil until she got the job because she didn’t want her father to give her any sort of special treatment.
Things went south when Orly found out that every member of this internship program had accomplished something at school. But Orly, she was on Honor Roll and played hockey. Lastly, she is the daughter of the Mayor. That’s when Orly realized that her father had made some moves for her to get this internship.
Orly stormed into Neil’s office and blasted at him. She even went on to claim that if her mother were here, she wouldn’t have let Neil do any of this. To make up for her daughter, Neil assigned Tommy to give some small work to Orly from time to time. Also, every time she accomplishes one assignment, Tommy has to say he appreciates her.

Tommy did the same no matter how terrible of a job Orly did. It was Jayden who got sick of it and was honest to Orly. That’s when Orly realized that even Tommy was lying to her because of her father.
Orly confronted her father again and continued to throw tantrums about wanting her mother to be there. This saw Neil revealing why he is taking so much care of Orly. In fact, it was her mother who didn’t want Orly to do anything. The Episode closed with Neil and Orly blasting at one of their mother’s old movie dialogues arranged by Jayden in a way they can vent out their frustration.
Amidst all of this, Mikaela wanted to prove everyone wrong about her being a workaholic. So she decided to attend a party but couldn’t keep up. The only thing she had to do was ask Neil for a break, and he quickly gave her. Lastly, Arpi came to realize that she had lost touch with her job after working with students of the Mayor’s Youth Leadership Program.

This fun event gives Mikael a chance to figure out the animosity between her and James. Meanwhile, Neil and Arpi fight over where to spend the city’s budget surplus.
