In an emotional and heartfelt gesture, close friends of the late Moonbin, member of the popular K-pop group ASTRO, have come together to release a tribute song in his honor.
Set to be released on April 19, 2025, the song will mark the second anniversary of Moonbin’s passing, and promises to be a touching tribute from those who knew him best.
The tribute project involves several of Moonbin’s closest friends and colleagues, including his ASTRO members Cha Eun Woo, MJ, JinJin, and Sanha.

In addition, his younger sister, Moon Sua from the girl group Billlie, is also part of the project. Other friends from the entertainment industry who were born in 1998, including SEVENTEEN’s Seungkwan and DK, as well as members of VIVIZ, are also expected to participate.
The song will feature numerous other K-pop stars, including MONSTA X’s I.M, Kihyun, and Minhyuk, SEVENTEEN’s Hoshi, Wonwoo, and Mingyu, along with Ungjae, Choi Yoo Jung, Kim Do Yeon, SF9’s Chani, and Stray Kids’ Bang Chan.
Cha Eun Woo, who is known for his close friendship with Moonbin, reportedly took the lead in organizing the project, personally reaching out to their shared friends to bring this tribute to life.
According to the latest reports, ASTRO’s agency, Fantagio, confirmed the news and shared that the song will be structured as a heartfelt letter from Moonbin’s friends to him.
The agency also expressed their hope that the song would bring comfort to both Moonbin’s fans and those who continue to cherish his memory.
