Capcom has announced a major pricing overhaul for Monster Hunter Wilds, confirming that the action RPG will receive a permanent price reduction alongside a new lineup of DLC bundles.
The changes come as the publisher continues supporting the game following a challenging first year marked by mixed player reviews on PC and ongoing performance concerns.
The announcement was shared through Monster Hunter’s official X account. While Capcom has not yet revealed the game’s new price, the company confirmed that the changes will begin rolling out in early August.
Capcom replaces existing editions with new value bundles
According to Capcom, sales of the current Deluxe Edition, Premium Deluxe Edition, and Cosmetic DLC Pass will be discontinued beginning August 3, 2026. In their place, the publisher will introduce three new purchasing options designed for both new and returning players.
The new Monster Hunter Wilds Gold Edition will include the base game along with the complete DLC collection. Capcom is also launching a Cosmetic DLC Collection, which bundles ten cosmetic DLC packs, as well as an Extras Cosmetic DLC Pack featuring selected cosmetic items that were previously sold individually.
Explaining the transition, Capcom stated,
“Hunters, we are streamlining the available options for new and returning hunters joining Monster Hunter Wilds.”
The company also confirmed that premium bonuses from the discontinued editions will be included in the new bundles.

Permanent price reduction begins in August
Perhaps the biggest announcement is the permanent reduction to the base game’s price, which will take effect on August 4, 2026. Although Capcom has not disclosed the new price, the current standard edition retails for $69.99, leading many players to speculate that the game could become significantly more affordable.
The announcement has been met with a positive response from the community, with many players welcoming the permanent price cut while continuing to hope for additional improvements.
Monster Hunter Wilds currently holds a “Mixed” user rating on Steam, reflecting criticism over performance alongside praise for its gameplay and monster-hunting experience.
By combining a lower entry price with simplified DLC options, Capcom appears to be making another effort to attract new hunters while encouraging existing players to return.
